I don't think that many people like McHale anyways. Generally people are ok with him, but think we can do better. Not that much controversy there.

The last possession last night reminded me of the last play in regulation of the Rockets' loss to the 76er's last November. Again Parsons had the ball (and it made more sense then because Harden was out that game), but he could not create a good look, and ended up taking a difficult fade away jumper in the middle of traffic, which he missed.

Parsons is good at creating plays sometimes. For example, on fast breaks, or in the flow of the Rockets' offense. But that is a very different thing from trying to create out of a time out.

That is why teams often run set plays in these situations, even teams like the Spurs who generally run an offense that is similar to the Rockets' read and react offense. What is the difficulty exactly with running a set play sometimes?

Parsons should not be running that. I do not think he has the court vision & dribbing & experience to do that... There are three people on this team who has faced double-team before: Harden, Howard and Lin (less frequently)

Yeah, having the 6th ranked offense is terrible.

Rockets' record in Rudy's last year: 43-39
Rockets' record the year after Rudy: 45-37

    LAL record with Rudy: 24-19
LAL record with Phil the year after Rudy: 45-37

LAL offense ranking the year before Rudy (with Shaq): 6th
LAL offense ranking the year with Rudy (without Shaq): 7th
LAL offense ranking the year after Rudy (with Phil): 8th

Basically nothing you say is true. This is pretty much the case with all of the typical simpleton blabbering towards coaches that we see no matter who is coaching. It's quite predictable.

he shouldnt be the coach at all at the first place, totally misplaced skill set. should be player development staff just like Dream. if the team is in win now mode, there shouldn't be room for him to develop either. having him ride the players hard to win now but he is the one needs development most among the team is just wrong.

Was it because of McHale being the coach or what he accomplished in his playing career that appealed to Dwight? If it's the latter, then make him an assistant who works with Dwight on his footwork and post moves and get a real head coach.

I think you missed a fundamental here: NEVER have your big guy dribble if the clock is ticking. Chandler is 6'9, that big just dont have the low gravity center or the quickness to handle the ball. he could pass to Dwright but his hand is not so quick neither have he the ball fake passing skill, or he just worry the pass would be intercepted or he just doesnt have the vision. he just doesnt have the skill set to make the pass. he could keep dribbling and penetrate but he is not a guard with speed--again doesnt have this skill set. gasol is there and he is panic. he made the worst and inevitable decision: pickup the dribble.
this is NBA not street ball playground.

The pass should have probably gone to Jeremy, who could have won the game by putting his foot on the line :p

Are you aware that the other teams have coaches as well and their goal is to prevent the Rockets from scoring?

The consensus that McHale is a terrible coach unites Clutchfans. There is no controversy.

Are you aware that this team should do a better job in late game situations and that it's not up to the other teams coaches on how to execute plays in the crunch.

So, you pretty much agree with everything I said, precisely.... minus George Karl... Strange, how you made it read like you disagreed with the post... especially the Dwight Howard portion of your reply...

Thibs would be great, as far as discipline, defense and structure go... however, he's as likely as McHale to run Harden and Howard onto the injured list...

He's not the worst but I don't think we need to hit the jack pot or anything to find a better coach.

This team is packed with talent (thank you Morey) and they are at their best when the offense is free flowing, the ball I is moving and everyone is taking the open shot and passing it up. However, lately I've noticed a lot of egos out there. clearly from James Harden, who feels like he can turn it on and off whenever he pleases, unfortunately some nights (last 2 games) didn't even turn it on. I can see Dwight getting frustrated cuz he's not getting the ball. I see Jeremy Lin getting upset cuz Bev took over the starting spot and he's playing really unmotivated ball las couple games. And lasty Parsons has beef with Howard, idk I'm guessing this but just notice their body language next game. but I hope I'm wrong.

Bottom line, even after all these feelings being hurt, our team is still super talented but we need some direction, some structure. A coach that will yell at his players. McHale always says in press conferences that the team is best when the ball is moving around. Yet, time and time again this season we've witnessed ****ing ISO plays in key situations in a game where we don't end up with anything. case in point, the final posession of the Griz game Friday night. we didn't even get a shot off?!? the talent of this team is obvious and that is the reason we are in the playoff hunt with a great record but the bad coaching is starting to reveal itself and everyday fans are taking more notice of this. don't expect to win any playoff series with this staff. My solution isn't to fire McHale but he bottom line needs to demand more respect and start getting really mad when the team does stupid ****. Stop Babying the two Big babies on this team, who also unfortunately our two best players...
