I disagree. You may get away with being a bad person to an extent, but in the end that person also usually ends up in prison, bad ending. most of the time. OP are you going to go against everything you know to be right because you think if you do things wrong you will come out better? Is that really worth it? I often wonder how proud I would be of myself if I just won the lottery vs. working towards it. I do believe there is a result of actions. Bad people get away with it all the time, but they also get caught all the time. Is it worth the risk /reward? I think you should seek truth, and handle everything with truth vs. karma. If you do everything the way you think it should, and with honest truth ,whether you win or lose you still win. csb: Recently I had to take a stand against someone (and the company) for doing bad things to my customers. I fought through it, and there were times where it seemed like justice would not prevail. Due the reality that you can't go around being a total f*** ,and persistence of my court, and documenting evidence... led to my winning my case ,and really teaching the bad guys about karma, and treating people like crap. Isolated incident perhaps, but when I looked at the sign at court it said 'hall of justice' and in my case yes there was some karma going on in my favor ,and there was some justice. nice guys sometimes come out okay too.
what goes around does sooner or later comeback around.( With every action there is a reaction). Its very hard to experiance something if you dont believe in it. Karma could smack you in the face, but all you will take it as was a stroke of good or bad luck. Same could be said for alot of things that require faith. If you don't believe you won't notice.
Karma isn't just about the good things and bad things in terms of reward and punishment. Its also not something that is personified or an active force that seeks out to reward those who do good and punish those who do bad but a function of causality that certain actions produce certain results. Think of it in some ways like yelling in a canyon and then hearing the sound come back to you. What you yell will determine what you hear back. If you yell "Nice to meet you" you hear that back. If you yell "F--- You!" you hear that back. Now if you didn't understand the principle of echo then to you it would seem like someone else was either being friendly or insulting to you when its really just the result of your action. Another thing to consider about Karma is that it operates over a vast time frame and isn't limited to physical actions. So for example if someone is rich because he swindles people and dies rich it would seem like that he has cheated Karma when perhaps in his next life he comes back as a rat. Leaving aside the reincarnation though you could also look at it as he lived his life pursuing money at all cost and as such his existence was shallow and meaningless and he died not leaving the world any better for his existence.
