You guys act like we're paying top dollar for a horrible player.

Lin gave us solid play overall and brings a lot of marketability and a good image to our team.

I'd say all that is enough to warrant what we pay him.

Iirc, Lowry wanted out, and Dragic wanted something he wasn't getting.

Lin is signed for 3 years, and he's not a drama queen. The guy isn't going anywhere.

I think the only PG Morey would trade him for is CP3 or in package to get a superstar.

Screw Lowry and Dragic. How do you butt heads with a notable player coach? He got his starting gig because of AB's injury who was VERY good at the time (dammit Manu) then got grumpy Dragic started balling out of his mind?

and Dragic just simply chose the money, I've got no issue with that but at the expense of our cap flexibility for a player who isn't going to put us near contention? (Theres a reason Lin's K is 3 years vs the HORRIBLE 4 yr Dragic wanted, He plays poorly? untradeable, he plays well? opts out for $$$)

Anybody who honestly thinks it was a choice between Lowry/Dragic/Lin is living in a sea of fanta. Lowry -> Lottery pick was a big part of getting Harden, and Dragic wanted to purchase some more televisions.

It was Lin vs Coutney Forston, machado or whoever.
I'll always like Gogi for what he did as a Rocket, but it just left a sour taste the way he left

It's not like it was a high Lottery Pick, we gave Lowry away for peanuts and I beleive it was just icing we would've got that deal anyway because OKC had to move quickly and we had the best deal.

    "Overall
Jeremy showed all the right traits over the course of the season. He showed he can be coached, he showed he can make improvements, he showed he was adaptable and close to his teammates. All of these traits are critical to have on the guy running your team. Unfortunately Jeremy also showed either a lack of confidence or a lack of retention at times and that can be one of a few things. He either lacks much of a killer instinct (Linsanity casts doubt on this), suffers from confidence issues (again Linsanity casts doubt on this), or he's just early in his career (That's where my money is). Jeremy has a lot of room for improvement and I am confident he will make that improvement but these grades are retrospective, not prospective."

    How DARE he???

Jeremy is my point guard of the present, and my husband of the future.

The GMs who got Dragic and Lowry both lost their GM jobs

To me, Lin is expendable to Rockets. Between Harden, Beverly and Brooks, PG position shouldn't be a problem. When is the last time championship won by a team had two dominant guards? While I don't think Lin is overpaid, a 5 mil PG should be good enough for Rockets going forward and they can spend rest of Lin's salary to upgrade other positions.

For Lin's sake, Rockets is not necessarily the best team for his development. He will always be sharing the PG duty with Harden. Rockets will sign another star for sure. I have no doubt Lin will keep improving, but he will end up being the fourth option on the team at best behind Harden, Parsons, and the star player they are going to sign. His number will not look pretty and will directly affect his next contract. If he is trade to another team and become a second or third option, he will put up better numbers and will get a better deal in his next contract.

It is what it is, no trading away Lowry, no trading for Harden.

Hope you don't mind, seems to me we are dealing with a similar situation here:

A lot of times, it does take four stars to win a championship, considering that none of Dwight, Parsons and Harden is GOAT offensively at their position and none of them is the best three in the league.

What is wrong with it? Since it is the same person, probably the main reason behind the Linsanity vs post-Linsanity thing is injuries and coaches.

I am confident he will get over the hump.

    Nothing is wrong with it.
I was just kidding, employing sarcasm, spoofing you guys, if you will.
I actually thought it to be a well-written piece.

Your post is worse than any LOF posts I've seen in a very long time. That crap is pretty much yesterday's news. Find another hobby.

You're welcome to your opinion. Personally, I think -your- post adds nothing at all to the table. At least I linked a RELEVANT article that just came out. If you don't like it, don't read it. You are in a Lin thread, so if you don't want to read Lin-based articles, then gtfo.

Lol, Cool, well you are certainly not spoofing me! ;)

I agree but I must say that his post is much more enjoyable than many of the really bad and inflammatory LOH posts. Thankfully they have now subsided and I think he is one of the reasons we have peace now! :)
