This type of one sentence statement is always so insightful and convincing. It must need great intelligent, full of knowledge, and a lot of work to create.
Lin's parents were from Taiwan. Even Taiwan is part of China as mainland sees it, people in China are not treating Lin exactly as their own like Yao, or even Yi. There are Lin fans for sure in China but not nearly as many as Yao or Yi fans. Also Chinese people are mindful that Lin is an American, not a Chinese. Unfortunately for Lin, many Americans think Lin is an Asian, not an American.
Lin will close out the series easily if he is fit. OKC would've won quite handily without Lin in the game but Westbrook healthy.
I definitely think lin is more talented than beverely but beverely got heart and his confidence doesn't waiver.... If lin could get stronger mentally and don't let things bother him and stay confident....watch out now
The one thing Jeremy isn't is consistent, I'm ok with his stat lines, I'd like his games to resemble more like Parsons' though, where he puts up ~14-15 ppg, but does it via double figures almost every game. He needs to work more on not turning it over still (he reduced the frequency by 33%, but his usage is down 30%), maybe people are right about his handles, which will become a problem in playoff games in the future. He's young and inexperienced though, if his shot improves (or stays consistent to his last 3 months), takes a little more care with the ball (that goes for you too James) and that he keeps up his production, and (this is probably most important) learns how to move better off the ball, he's going to be really good for this team or any contending team that has a quality ball handler. I'm not entirely against using him as a Manu type either, simply because I think he could absolutely annihilate almost every 2nd string unit.
If he wanted china money, he should have accepted China's offer to play for their olympic team, they did offer it to him. I imagine it's two way there though, he doesn't really feel chinese and i doubt he wanted to surrender his american citizenship, since china doesn't allow duals.
1. what he said is true 2. what's more disturbing, LOHs are celebrating the fact that the Rockets win without Lin, LOFs would of course point out some facts, then more puritanical fans hate on LOFs and some even start to hate on Lin. 3. so it's best to stay classy and not hate in the first place, otherwise it would only escalate; only love can conquer hate you see, even though I know that color hate is an urge that's hard to suppress. Love your players, love fans that support your team's players.
Right on brother, i love all rockets even x rockets which played in the regular season. Except maybe aldrich col
Just trade Lin to the Lakers, its a win win situation, for all parties. Houston gets Gasol, a legit PF with a big expiring contract. That way we have: Beverely Harden Parsons Gasol Asik, And Lin gets to go godmode again in his beloved PG-centric Dantoni Offense, With Dwight playing the role of Tyson Chandler. But most importantly, the brainwashed 'team only fans' who want to bash Lin at every opportunity can finally shut their mouths, and the overzealous 'HARDEN YOU SUCK' LOFers can piss off. AMIRITE
Lin's inconsistency is due to the fact that McHale does not has a consistent role for him. If he allow to plan point, then he will be consistent. Turn over is part of the problem with ball handle. If every time they pass out the ball and someone score, we would be seeing 40 to 50 assists per game.
1. You can't be serious. Not only did he say Lin would close out the series, but he said he would do it easily. I don't know if you've been watching the games, but we've won the last two and the Thunder have this guy named Kevin Durant. He's pretty good so you might have heard of him. He's been unable to close out the series against us so please explain how Jeremy Lin could do it. Can't wait to hear this response. 2. I think people celebrating the fact that he got injured are classless but of course people are going to celebrate two straight wins against OKC. I'm sure there are a few people who are happy it was without Lin, but the vast majority of this board that aren't LOFs are just happy we won. Whether it be without Lin, Harden, Parsons, ect...For fans of a team the end result is all that matters. Personally, whether we win with or without Lin is of no consequence to me. Another thing to take into account is that Beverley and Brooks have been causinng OKC problems. Even NBA analysts have pointed that out. Nobody wants to change something that's working so that could be the rationale behind people not wanting Lin to come back this series. 3. Everyone here wants our players to succeed because it's in the best interest of the Rockets. The ones who don't just joined the board to troll and are just as bad as the LOFs. They deserve the same criticism. In terms of loving all your fans, every fan base has annoying people so that's simply impossible.
No chance the Lakers make a deal for Gasol centered around Jeremy Lin. They kept him this long and now his big contract has a lot of value because it's expiring. Not to mention he's still a legit starting PF.
