This looks less likely with every playoff win.

It would almost be a crime to not have Beverley as your starter next season.

    No

I think trade him this summer, draft Kabongo in the 2nd round... start Beverley with Brooks backing him up and if Kabongo works out he is the true PG of the future.

Yup! I made a poster with a picture of the donkey kissing when Chuck came back to do a TNT game later that season and they put it on TV.

As much as I hate all your comments, including this one. Yup i have to agree BEV and Brooks looked great. I say good for the Rockets good for Lin , now he has to show up when he comes back in rotation. Anyway you guys seen for yourselves Harden isoball was killing us and now that has toned down. We are are rolling.
And whooooa Garcia . man DARE i say , the man is the heart and leader of this Rocket right now. Love it when role players step up.

Sooo I look forward to Lin coming back and showing what he is made of.

Beverly is doing great in this playoff series, sure. But you are forgetting that Westbrook is injured and he is playing against people like Fisher who could not guard my grandmother nevermind anyone athletic.

People always talk about small sample size when it comes to Lin's positive games. Yet you ignore the entire regular season where Beverly routinely struggled against good quality STARTING point guards.

Beverly has always done well against back ups. This does not mean he is ready to take over Lin's job, but downplaying Lin's skill and achievements has become the modus operandi of many people on these forums sadly.

The way you say that would make one think as if Bev has been consistently putting up like 20 and 10 against Westbrook, not marginally better numbers than Lin's regular season averages on Fisher and Jackson. I know you dont like Lin as player or a person or whatever, but please show some class. It sucks that Lin hasn't been able to redeem himself after that awful game 1 (he looked like he was going to the 2nd game, but was then injured). Nevertheless, Bev and to an extent even Brooks have done a great job filling in. Why cant you just appreciate the team and their win tonight and not have to deflect it to a berating of Lin

This is the playoffs, Jetfuel. Nobody gives a damn about what the player did in the regular season, once they are in the playoffs. Lin has to show up. Hopefully he will recover from his injury and contribute.

Exactly. Alot of haters coming out giving knee jerk reactions based on ONE freaking game when Lin is consistently playing well the whole season.

Just a reminder, you don't need to downplay one guy to compliment another.

You are the one being overly sensitive.

I did gave credits to Bev and AB in my posts and you are still stalking me?

Never did I praised Lin and said the other guys are bad.

Basically, I'm glad everyone contributed till now thus far and it is some vocal haters who are bashing our own player.

LOL, I love how certain people are upset after a HUGE Rockets win. No matter what happens this series and no matter who is our point guard next season. I am extremely proud to be a ROCKETS fan right now. Thank you Garcia, Beverly, Brooks and the rest of the players not named Harden or Parsons. They really stepped up and showed what true toughness is today.

Jeremy lin = more talented but has confidence issues
Beverely= scrappy and has more heart
Brooks= quick and can score and shoot

    I wouldn't mind either 3 starting,coming off the bench,or being back up honestly >_>

I like Beverly and Brooks better but I'm not ready to close the door on Lin. I think that they should compete next year for the starters job and his contract and how many jerseys he sells in China shouldn't be a factor. I'm glad we had good depth at PG and I think DM did great by finding PB and bringing AB back.

Has lin even been helping the rockets franchise financially with chinese overseas fans? I wonder if his promotion as a chinese player overseas has paid for his contract or if that backfired on the franchise lol

I'm ecstatic right now after the win so this is very much kneejerk but a few perceptions changed for me after game 5...

Beverley is a starter and should start with Lin, and Brooks is solid back-up coming off the bench. Or a 3 - 4 guard rotation with Harden.

We have to keep Asik, even if Dwight comes.

Harden gets it and is improving his game. He is a STAR.
