After threat about LIN being trade (already confirm he is in houston maybe for 1year or until his contract expired) now here another LIN threat about him being overpaid, later on LIN being overrated, damn he must be so famous ...

Actually, must add that some people here are not fans, or some may even be anti-fans. So that may explain the cannibalitic nature of their comments.

Dragic is a better defender and has the toughness that Lin lacks.

Can you prove that Dragic is a better defender?

Sigh, its not about the numbers, its whats' between his ears. On many nights, he looked liked he didnt belong on the court, played with his tail between his legs. Admittedly, he looked very good on occassion, operative phrase, 'on occassion'.

Every night was a crap shoot of what player we were going to get night in and night out (Jeckle or Hyde). I fear for this team if he has the reigns the entire season, because everyone knows that at some point, he'll lose confidence and become a detriment out there, its maddening.

Throw up all the stat comparisons you want, but all those other players consistently play with heart wuth unwavering confidence, Ill take them over Lin everyday, twice on Sunday.

If he can convince that he has fixed his mental- and most important -aspect to his game, then Ill be comfortable with him leading my Rockets, until then, these numbers lie.

Your comparison doesn't mean Lin isn't overpaid IMO. It means all of them are overpaid.

Pfft. It was a crapshoot what role he was supposed to play every night anyway.

And the part where you questioned whether he played with heart.... there were some nights when he was the only one who showed up to play.

He doesn't need to convince you of whether he has fixed his mental aspect to his game. After all the nonsense he has been through in his career, he is still here in the NBA, playing at a very decent level, and improving year after year. Your opinion is completely redundant as far as he is concerned.

If you are going to root for a team, better a team filled with good guys than with asses. Who would want to root for a team of jerks? Heck, who would want to be a role player on a Kobe Bryant team for anything other than the money?

As for Lin, he is clearly overpaid relative to the other Rockets (now that Royce is gone). But that is because so many of them stand out as underpaid. Stick Lin on another team and it would be just another average contract you had to pay to get a reasonable player with some upside when no one else was available.

Yes. But a lot of guys in the NBA are. If we had Harden before his signing, he would be in New York right now. We needed a "splash" of sorts and he was all that was out there.

No he is not overpaid. Plus I dont care about what these cats do with their money. Not my business. We made it to the playoff's after 3 long years. Lin was apart of that success. Played a key role Ladies n Gents.

Remember originally Lin was offered 28.8 for 4 so hes more of a 7 mil player which would make more sense this season but the Knicks had to open their dumb mouth and say they would match up to 1 billion. there was a very weak FA guard list back in 2011 so the Rockets had no choice. Looking at Lins stats vs Felton, Lin has done a bit better than Felton but not significantly more so i think Lin based off last year should be going for the 5-7range not 8-10 but hopefully Lin gets better and proves everyone wrong.

The thing about the current NBA is that the PG spot is the most talent dense spot in the game. There are great PG's on nearly every team.

Take a look at some top teams in the league

    Spurs - Parker
    Thunder - Westbrook
    Clippers - Paul
    Grizzlies - Conley
    Warriors - Curry
    Chicago - Rose
    Boston- Rondo
    Nets- Williams

That being taken into consideration: yes, Lin is overpaid.

Lin will never be a top 5 PG in the league. Hell, he wont even be a top 10. That's not really a knock on Lin either. There's just so many good PG's nowadays.

Overpaying the PG position is the worst move in the current NBA IMO. You can find Patrick Beverley, Aaron Brooks, Goran Dragic, Kyle Lowry talent type players everywhere. Morey has done it consistently over the past 5 years.

I'd rather that money be spent on more important pieces.

Lin is making exactly what the 2nd tier PG's players are making. The OP stated that already, he didnt put him in the class of the elite PG's. And Curry and Conley are not elite PG's either, maybe 1st tier.
