that is your opinion.. I can respect that... however Harden's team has a better record than KB's who has the younger team and who has more talent on his team?
I think James should have the nickname "Prince James". He's putting up stats that mirror prime Lebron.
Look, based purely on ability it should only be between Harden and Kobe, Wade has deteriorated so badly I think Kevin Martin is already better than him. IMHO Kobe is still better on offense and defense, but I think harden's better than him because at the end of the day people watch games to see their TEAM win, and Harden is a superior team player. At this point of his career Kobe is actually bordering on cancer status, he's managed to throw his entire team under the bus, from the owners, GM, coach to Pau/DH/Nash. That stuff matters, because when the game gets tough the team needs to be able to rely on and trust each other. IMHO Harden's already the best SG on the planet. Even if he isn't, wait 2 years and he'll definitely be, because he's only 23 years old. We're looking at around a decade of dominance here LOL.
I personally think King James is a better and more marketable nickname than Chosen1. Chosen 1's like something you'd hear from an action flick and it could offend extremely religious people...plus it doesn't make any sense, chosen 1 for what? King James is a more apt nickname because right now hes really the "king" of the NBA, clearly the best b-baller in the planet and is on a trajectory to surpass MJ as the GOAT, something a lot of people thought was impossible.
Would have been nice to see Harden/Yao Ming. Age-wise, it would have still been possible, but health didn't allow it...
Absolutely agree, and Yao is probably one of my top 5 all time players but Harden at 23 is just unbelievable.
Agreed. No question about this. At the same times, he is only 23. He is definitely a "Prince James." I don't want to call him "king James." That is reserved for LeBron.:grin::grin:
there is no other SG I'd want on the rockets over harden now but no one is in lebron's stratosphere right now. he is a freak athlete that has no weakness at all and still improving. it'd be interesting to see how he does on a team without bosh and wade at his current level of play
Reporters asked Yao if he could imagine what it would be like to play with Harden, he said something along the lines of I'd probably take away 10 shots from him. Yao must be a LOF.
LeBron is on a different level than Durant. There is a sizable gap between 1 (Lebron) and 2 (Durant), and then a pretty sizable gap between 2 (Durant) -3 (Chris Paul). After that, it's pretty much personal preference, with the gap between the players growing smaller/if there is a gap at all. You can go with any number of players, like Melo, Harden, etc.
Literally? Its not just points, go check. Kobe is still better than Harden right now especially if you put both of them in big playoff games. The other one has been tried and tested over the years and you and i know how lethal Kobe is during those situations. Again, this might all change in a year or two and there will be no one happier than me.
Again, just to share my conversation with Nate Jones on twitter the other day.. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>@<a href="https://twitter.com/newagerocket">newagerocket</a> Kobe, Wade, Harden</p>— Nate Jones (@JonesOnTheNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/JonesOnTheNBA/status/299542352278720512">February 7, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>@<a href="https://twitter.com/newagerocket">newagerocket</a> Yeah at this point because Kobe and Wade's careers are almost over.</p>— Nate Jones (@JonesOnTheNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/JonesOnTheNBA/status/299543363911299072">February 7, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>@<a href="https://twitter.com/newagerocket">newagerocket</a> You get Harden for long term...the other two for now.</p>— Nate Jones (@JonesOnTheNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/JonesOnTheNBA/status/299548690761269248">February 7, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Most experts would still put Kobe and Wade ahead of Harden because these two are already proven big time playoff performers/winners and are still putting up numbers close to Harden's. As much as i am a die hard Rockets and Harden fan, i would have to agree with them. Especially with Kobe still being better right "NOW".
