Well, it is, regardless of how vile or unliked it is, it is still someone's opinion. If that person wants to express their opinion let them and then let the rest of Clutchfans debate that if needed.

What happens when someone has an opinion but never communicates it is they never get feedback as to why that opinion may or may not be right. They just go along thinking the way they think. To get people to see things from another person's point of view you have to discuss those things. Having someone tell you you can't think that way and then they shut up and cower only makes those people stuck. They always go on thinking the way they do without really looking at all sides of why they think that way or how they got to think that way and that isnt good for anyone.

Shutting down speech limits true understanding for all parties and ultimately creates a smaller and smaller world view on things. Once everyone is forced back into a narrow world view it will lead right back to having a civilization where there are strict confining rules that everyone must live in and those that think outside the box for a better or different way must revolt and have bloodshed to stir the change and the way of thinking.

By keeping free speech the only people that lose are the dictators that want everyone to think their way.

Think how many different lifestyles that exist in this country. Now think about giving up your right to free speech and have a handful of people tell you what you can and can't think. I'll bet you the majority of the population is going to take issue with their view. Do you think those people who disagree should be banned from the world? If so, you are a dictator, and you are on the wrong side of history.
