i live in london, and don't know anyone who would pronounce it like that.

We have a train station called Euston that people sometimes pronounce Houston similar to, but i usually kill those people, so their numbers are dwindling.

There was a theater professor at UH almost a decade ago named Huston.

People were torn whether his name was pronounce "huss-tunn" or "Hyoo-stun"

I live in Houston County, GA. We pronounce it that way.

They always say do you live in a house or in a huse.

I had a professor my freshman year from Boston who used to always say "Yew-ston" and "Humble". This was at a university in Dallas, and having lived there for many years he had fully adopted the Dallas-area jackassness. So when one day I politely pointed out the correct way to pronounce the name of those cities, he looked at me with such disdain that I thought he would fail me in the class.

Joke's on him though. I think he's dead now.

Yew-stun is the correct pronunciation, but I have no problem with Hugh-stun either, in fact I think it sounds better.

I like to call it "Hughes-town", since that is really what it was named after.

As much as I love and use the ignore list, I wish there was a way to automatically block any thread started by someone on your list. That would be awesome.
