I use both, depends on the situation. I used to see quite a few posters get upset if someone used "we". Don't "we" all live and die with the Rockets?
I have done both some people get rude and claim dot say we because you are not a member of the rockets team or organization, but in my opinion we (the fans) invest time and money so we should be able to say what we want.
Like I said in the original post, I say the Rockets but I do like referring to Houston as Champ City whenever possible. Also, I don't know how to make a poll. I saw the option when making the post but nowhere to fill it in. I guess the details of the poll are filled in after you hit submit?
I watch the games that contains commercial that later I spend money on the products that at the end up paying the rockets on TV deals. I buy tickets and spend money on the expensive food and beer they sell at the Toyota center. I bought rockets merchandise. I paid taxes in Houston where the Toyota center was built, and where the cops the infrastructure of the city is need for the rockets organization to make money. Plus all my emotions are invested on this team when they are good or suck. And my PR on others to sell this team as the greater ever that help build the Houston Rockets Brand. So yes I said we
When I'm jumping up and down in my living room at the end of a hard fought game I'm screaming, "WE BEAT THE LAKERS, WE BEAT THE LAKERS, WE BEAT THE LAKERS!!!!!!" Emotionally, its all about WE!
When it's about a win or loss...I say we. When I am talking about trades or team transactions...I say Rockets. I think that as a fan, I have a place in wins and losses. When it comes to trades and front offices stuff...it's all on the Rockets
WE fans act as a team built to support OUR Rockets. WE both share the smiles after a win, and as well as the frustrations due to a loss. WE WE
Coaches and GM say we don't they? Because they are invested in the team and do their best to help the team win. If you've ever attended a game or bought any merchandise or even ever watched the game on TV, you've also invested in the team and helped the team win (by providing $$ that keeps the team going). Obviously I don't help as much as Morey, Adelman, or a player, but I still helped (orders of magnitude less but still).
Interchangable, but have to agree with the notion that with more emotion the word we comes out more. Sometimes I say Houston as well.
