Why do you are think after the playoffs he said "he needed help".? Its easier to lock-on on just him and he gets tired. The reason we brought in Lawson is to take some of the pressure off him. That's why those two need to be on the court at the same time.

And yes, I remember they said he blew up in the locker room and Dwight and Terry had to calm him down.

I would hope that he's passionate about winning that he expresses his frustration.

Curry is a prick, I hope that story is true. A little fire is a good thing.

    The horror...the horror...

...(seriously though, can that even be considered a tantrum? I've done that by accident)

Tantrum? I'd prefer to say 'heart' and 'passion'. Like others have said, I'd be concerned if he wasn't like that. He should be the fire or spark in the team. Others should follow his lead.

I still say in game 2 we should have called the time out. Draw up a play. Let GS focus on James and get someone an open shot.

But I am all in for this year. Go Rockets.

Wow, I did not know this. Feel bad for Harden, he carries the entire weight of houston on his shoulders and beats himself up for not delivering. I love that guy.

One thing about that game which is seldom mentioned....if not for Harden we would've been blown the eff out. He played brilliantly but will only be criticized for not sealing the deal.

Wasn't J-not-so-Smoove 5-for-123 that game? CLANK. CLANK. And yet because of Harden we nearly won the game anyway.

I hate to be this guy, but...come on man.

Anyway, I'd be more concerned if he didn't let any emotion out. I wouldn't be jokes and smiles after giving the Warriors the business then not being able to even put a final shot up. If he won that game for us, it could've changed the outcome of the WCF imo.

The reason he's so fat is because of all that eating under stress.

Michael Jordan used to throw temper tantrums all the time. Hell, he would scream at Luc Longley on the court if Longley had the audacity to take and make a shot.

Yup, if just one person could have stepped up we had that game. It was amazing to watch Harden single handedly come down each possession and answer every damn GS score.

    Mike is Mike.

Do you have a Michael Jordan anecdote which proves everybody wrong about how arrogant and unlikable the great man is/was?

What you see is what you get with Michael. Michael was that. Michael is that. I’m just finishing reading a book by Roland Lazenby, a very good sports journo who wrote a biography on Michael called The Life. It looks at Michael from early childhood-on. A fair bit of time and effort has been spent on his prime years – when I was part of the club. Roland’s story is the same as what I got out of it all.

Michael is a world-class competitor and professional athlete and that’s pretty much the sum total of my experience with him. Until you’ve been alongside that and seen the day-to-day consistency of it, the non-negotiability of it, you can’t really get a grip on it.

I will tell you one story, but just to warn you, it’s not what you’re looking for … Scottie Pippen reminded me of this story recently, actually. We were playing Detroit and I came out on fire in the first half. I think I had 17-18 points, half-a-dozen rebounds, a couple of blocks – playing like an All-Star. For the first time ever, because Michael was very cautious with his praise, he came into the locker room high-fiving me, slapping me, hugging me, saying, “Man, you play like that, we’re going to win the world championship. That’s awesome! You’re an All-Star. Why don’t you play like that every day? I knew you had it in ya.” Anyway, so we went out for the second half … and I finished the game with exactly the same stat line as I had at half-time. I had a terrible second half. We came in after the game – we’d won. When everybody else was happy to be winning, Michael was furious. He said, “Luc, I am never, ever going to say a nice thing about you again.” It demonstrated how Michael thought that because he said something good …

Like, it had nothing to do with Michael, really. It was me playing the game. I just drew a couple of fouls and didn’t play as well and didn’t get my opportunities. He was true to his word; never said anything nice again. But I wasn’t the only one he was like that with. It was the whole group …

Well one would hope that if this is true he would be bustin' his butt in the off season to make himself better rather than chasing Kardashian's around the club scene.

All the top players have some hump to get over before they can win but the great ones find motivation from their failures and strive to overcome / defeat them the next year...
