What are you talking about? pre-season games get teams ready for the season. pre-season games are 1000000000 times more meaningful than the games left. No team plays their star players big minutes in pre-season games, why are we in even less meaningful games?

Why should I address? As I said, there is no proof that Spurs tanked as you said. They lost so many players like Rockets, they couldn't compte and they didn't even have the worst record in the league like you said. They even changed coach because of losing without David Robinson. Why do you make it sounds like official they tanked?

No superstar play heavy minutes in preseason game. That's in part to minimize the injury risk. Preseason is to get ready, get in shape for the season. Play now is for? Yao twisted his ankle last night, it's not worth it to play him in a back-to-back, IMO.

You didn't get my point. I'm saying injury has nothing to do with Yao should play or not. It can happen anytime, nobody can predict that. Sit Yao to prevent injure if we are in playoffs already has more meaning than sit Yao with several games left. Yao will get plenty of rest in the summer anyway.

the players I listed above, except elliott, all played 70+ games. they didn't have the injury problem like we did. And lossing 62 games in a season did NOT give them loser mentality as you believed in so much!

So much that JVG and Yao won't do what I suggested. It seems they are doing exactly what I suggested. They should have done it 2 weeks earlier!

Sure, it make sense if Yao doesn't want to play or if the ankle is bothering Yao. This is a different injure, Yao stepped on the floor means the ankle was in good shape.

Look at the players you mentioned above, none of them are stars at that stage. If they tried to win but failed because of talent, of course they won't have loser mentality. They fought to win, but they couldn't. Intenionally tanking is a different story. Only losers do that.

I am forced to come to the conclusion that it would be best if I just give up reasoning with you.

obviously you don't know many spurs fans. ask them about their opinion of that season.

those players i mentioned are BETTER than what we have outside of Yao, and west was weaker than today. You gotta be EXTREMLY naive to believe they tried their best.

last post to you on this issue. we will just agree to disagree.

You don't think tireness increases the risk of injury?

Yao will never say he doesn't want to play. It's the coaches and organizations job to decide what's best for the players and for the team.

Whatever dude, keep repeating your professionalism line.

OK, my last post here: those players are better than what we have outside of Yao, but they don't have Yao and Tmac. Rockets minus Yao and Tmac won 0 games, they won 20. I have no idea why is that extremely naive.

Plus I am actually enjoying Hayes's play, which will never happen if Yao is not kept out of the game.

I think the whole foot thing makes this thread a non-issue.

It's funny, just when an injury is the last thing on our minds, it happens. Really reminds you of how the season has been.

Since it appears Yao broke his foot and is out for the season, he's going to rest whether he likes it or not.

I just thought you were saying that Spurs fans are perfectly happy to be scums that tank and that Rocket fans are/should be the same. Maybe I misunderstood.
