i'd be completely happy with shottenheimer. he's that particular breed of coach that can take a bad team and make them a playoff team. going from playoff team to superbowl team isn't his gig, but right now we really don't have to worry about messing that up.

I have to agree. Kubak will be back next year but I fully expect it to be a make or break one for him. If McNair can sleep through the destructo job that Capers did on this football franchise then what's happening now should be nothing for him to snooze through.

I don't know. If they lose every game from here on out, I think he might get axed.

No way, he'll be around at least one more year, and they might extend him ;) . Remember how long Casserly and Carr stuck around.

I don't think they need to can Kubiak this year, but somehow a sense of urgency needs to be injected into this team, pronto. Maybe if there is Parcell's or something available, otherwise give him another year to get things on track

This is the dumbest thing i've ever read -- I have an eloquent reason as to why -- unfortunately I am unable to post it at this time.

I'd pull the plug on Kubiak and Rick Smith.

Miami was 1-15 last year (now 5-4). Atlanta was 4-12 (now 6-3).

I think you have to give him at least another year. He has only drafted 3 years it takes more than that to build a team and I think we all know by now how bad the previous people left us.

    i don't necessarily disagree.

yet...the jets were 4-12 just 3 years back. the dolphins were 1-15 just last year.

maybe we've just be trained to expect less.

yes the jets got a HOF QB and Miami got the Tuna. You can turn around a franchise in a year, all this OK now we are at .500 its time to take the next step is BS.

Neither of them has Charlie as their GM either.

yep, sandwiched around 10-6 seasons in 2004 and 2006. not really relevant, though...

seems relevant to me. the important question is whether it's relevant to bob mcnair.
