Since Luther is injured, sure give him spot minutes. But it says alot when he doesn't get minutes even when Luther is injured. Instead Bonzi gets those minutes. Let's go over again why MJ isn't getting any minutes: He can't shoot as good as Luther He can't post up and rebound like Bonzi He can't run the offense like Brooks (even when Brooks is struggling right now) Adelman has decided to split up the backcourt minutes amongst those 3 and figures not enough minutes to allocate for MJ as a rotational player, just spot minutes for situational moments. No argument from me there.
For some it's just personal for them. Some people hate James because of some of the things he's said or done or just how he is. They like the ending as it is right now. With Rafer, it's different... it's more "critics" than "haters". There's nothing to hate about Rafer on a personal level.
Why give this guy a chance. As far as I've seen he has not changed. When he gets the ball you know he is gonna shoot, doesnt matter if it's a terrible shot or a good one, he is shooting. He doesn't play within the offense, he worries only about getting his. Rafer doesn't have skills James has, and Brooks doesn't have size/experience James has, but James needs to learn to pass, or just demand a trade out of Houston so we can get someone that can actually contribute.
