Is it the time to remove Yao and get a real center for this team?

Wow, If CD thinks this way, Rox is doomed. Dampier is nearly 30 years old. People here call him young? Dampier has been injury-prone. He is having the best season of his life. People are rushing to give him the nod and he is 30 years old. I guess you want to sign Dampier to a long term deal like Cato got. LOL

I am pretty sure the Warriors will take this trade in a heartbeat.
Warriors not only get a young center, 2nd or 3rd best in the league, but also clears salary/or potential salary on Dampier, Richardson. The only downside is that they give up Dunleavy, but he plays the SF position which is not that important.

    Warrior's starting five:

    Yao/Foyle
    Troy Murphy/Robinson
    Cheaney/Cardinal
    Pietrus
    VanExel

This is a pretty good and young team.

Boki is on a rookie scale. He might even blossom in GS. Weatherspoon's contract is big but only 2 years after this year.

But of course GS will take Dunleavy plus 2 1st rounders for Yao. No wonder Rox has been r****ded for so many years after Hakeem left. Given CD's record on draft picks, the 2 1st rounders will turn out another EG mini. Oh wait, doesn't JVG never play rookies?

    GS's starting 5:

    Yao/Dampier or Dampier/Yao
    Murphy/C Robinson
    Cardinal
    Richardson
    VanExel/Claxton

    Rox's starting 5:
    Cato
    MoT
    Dunleavy
    Cat
    Steve

Is JJ or Dunleavy better right now? or Is Posey or Dunleavy better? offensively, defensively?

GS comes out a winner. Rox won't be past 2nd round for another 7 years.

If people here love Dunleavy so much, why not trade Yao plus filler for R. Wallace? Wallace is much better than Dunleavy and he is also very young. I am pretty sure Portland will grab the opportunity!!!

I assume that you meant me by "he" ...

I used to want Yao on my team as bad as you implied. Not any more. We do need a center to replace Shaq though. We just do not need a soft gentle giant who is so polite on the court that he would worry that taking away a rebound from someone could impact the guy's next contract negociation ...

Any GM with a brain would jump on a trade for Yao.

I can now see that not only SF is stupid but also his supporters!

I do not think Rox fans really want to trade Yao. They just hate it when Yao has not turned out to be as good as they thought he would be

I have watched a few Rox games. That 9 for 9 and 20 point game against my Lakers was very impressive. His 3 quick blocks on Shaq showed some potential. I thought he could do that regularly when get more NBA playing experiences. Well, this is his second year and you can hardlt see yao looking for blocks as active as he did it in that game. Is this the Yao we will ever see?

If we're trading Yao, which I don't think we should, then we should go for McGrady.

Yao was excellent tonight against the Knicks. Made Mutombo absolutely worthless because of his range. Controlled the boards well when he was in the game.

The criticisim of Yao is way out of place.

Ah, that guy. I thought he was in the hall of fame. If not, must be on the injury list soon after the Laker - Rocket game.

Just kidding. Yao is not even close to Shaq right now. Maybe next year or longer.

    :D :D :D
