Insert a semicolon and a transitional word between the clauses:
It is nearly half past five; therefore, we cannot reach town before dark.
Henry Whopper was a teller of tall tales; in fact, he even told them to his teachers.

Insert a colon (if the relationship of the second clause clarifies, defines, exemplifies the first clause):

Seriously though, don't sweat it. A 17-year-old girl has no clue what she wants, so you should really avoid relationships at all costs at this point unless you want to deal with confusion, bull**** and heartaches. Do not get attached, I repeat, don't get attached. I made that mistake when I was your age.

It's as easy as answering these questions.

Some people are saying to bail on the relationship and dump her. I think that is too drastic of a response until you figure out what you want out of this relationship at this point in your life.

Just let her go bro..what's the main point of trying to keep her when you already know or think it's not going to work out..plus she's been having communication with other guys which is not a good sign AT ALL..
