You are missing my point we know Indy has better defense, and the Rockets has better offensive, what I was talking about is how THEY PLAY, they turn over the ball, the points guards, make bad decisions. They know how to give a game away, that is my point.

PG: George Hill is a better PG than Lin
SG: Stephenson is a better rebounder. Harden's offensive production in the playoffs was higher (similar FG %s, but Harden took way more shots and FTs).
SF: Do not compare George to Parsons.
PF: David West is mediocre. No real comparison to Asik or Jones.
C: Howard is much better than Hibbert.

Bench: the Pacers have depth and age (Scola, Watson, Turner)--we don't.

Coaching: Frank Vogel is a good coach and should not be compared to McHale who is in my estimation average (or slightly above).

Probably your best comparison would be the Wizards and John Wall. Wall is the only player who has played worse than Harden (33% FG for Wall v. 38% for Harden).

Comparing position vs position is a horrible way to predict a matchup. I would give the Rockets a 60/40 chance of beating the Pacers in a series.

I think we could beat the Pacers in 5 or 6. While the Rockets are pretty ****ty on defense the Pacers are also bad offensively so it doesn't really matter. The Rockets are great offensively though and we would still be able to score on the Pacers defense.

    1. The Pacers struggled against a team (Atlanta) that didn't even have a winning record at 38-44. Now they have two blowout losses to a Washington, a team that was barely over .500.

    2. The Blazers were evenly matched against the Rockets with two all-stars, Lillard and Aldridge, and a deep bench. Every game was close down the stretch with several close losses in OT that could have gone the other way had it not been for some crappy officiating. Still, all the games were close.

    3. The playoffs are all about match-ups. Take for example the Spurs and Rockets. The Rockets actually swept the Spurs this year in head to head games, yet the Spurs are up 3-1 with the Blazers, a team that beat Houston.

We would kill the pacers in a series. Portland beat us because their strengths were our biggest weaknesses. George hill wouldn't be lighting us up.

We lost in a tight series to a much better team than Washington.... Who have made the pacers look silly in 2 games.
