I agree that Yao is soft. But I have said this and I'll say it again......Yao is Extremely talented, just needs to be consistent....agreed?

Its not that I hate Yao, I just don't see all the potential that some of you guys see in him. He is not a franchise player, he is not a defensive player, and he is not a clutch player. Yao is a good role player but what really pisses me off is to read about how Yao needs more shots and more touches. Yao is what he is, a serviceable Big man but not a superstar. Consencus is that Yao is the second best center in the league yet most nights the other team's center is killing the rockets on the boards or on the offensive end. Yao had his best game against the Kings and it still took overtime to beat them.

Ak47 does not draw double teams but niether did Pippen and look how well that turned out. T-Mac would get all the attention and D-teams and AK 47 would shut down the best player on the other team.

Looks to me you are the hater of Yao. Tell me why most team using fronting Yao not let him getting the ball if it's less efficient for Yao to touch the ball. If you pretend not to be Yao hater, at least you need to pretend to be logical.

You are amongst the most ignorant people on this post. You have no idea what you are talking about. All you do is try to bash Yao ( who clearly is BAD@SS) and I think everyone would agree on this. He'll be fine and he will be a superstar. Stop saying senseless garbage just because you crave attention, it's r****ded and meaningless.

You don't have one clear fact/reason as to WHY you hate Yao except this one that is COMPLETELY WRONG.

Last year our center position had more points 22.7 to 16.4, more rebounds 12.9 to 10.9, more blocks 2.6 to 2.0 and a much higher FG% 51.8 to 44.1 than the opponent center position. In fact it was the MOST PRODUCTIVE position than anyother we had all last year.(PG and SF were our worst)

Also, what's your obsession with Yao? Every single one of your posts is just a Yao bash. WTF are you on this BBS for if you're just here to trash one of our star players and have no opinion about anything else? Is it possible for you to just stay in your little hole and come out whenever you have another thought other than "I hate Yao."

Yes, Yao needs to be more consistent. But even when he is off, he is still drawing 2 times the attention that AK is.

T-Mac is not MJ. AK is good, but he sure as hell ain't Pippen. He is a excellent help defender, but can you throw him on and say shut that dude down. You could do that with Scottie. Scottie could also run point, and was a better scorer.

Man, is AK on your fantasy team or something? He is nice, but he had to convince his own team that he is worth the Max.

Almost every post in here is about fraking Yao and how he needs to get the ball more. I'm sick and tired of reading about how if Yao gets the ball more he would be better and other B.S. about Yao. So if you people could rock the vote and butter your toast with your toes then helicopters will mow yards in space time continuum

What are you 8? Being inarticulate in chat is not helping your case whatsoever. You clearly don't know anything about basketball. Just because you know the names of players and teams doesn't make you knowledgable.

Right...Why the hell would we want to get the ball more to our best defensive player and most efficient offensive player? Yao is a HUGE part of this team and if you don't like it quit being a rockets fan...hell, it seems like you've already done that so it shouldn't be that hard for you to follow through.

LOL. Best defensive player. Most efficent? Mutombo is the most effecient option this season. so should they run the offense through him? Yao in the post is a joke. Loren freaking Woods punked him and the second softest center in the league, Rasho , injured his little elbow.

You would have a point with Mutumbo...but you forget that he's 80 years old. His limited playing time is perfect for us and for him as well. Also, if Yao was a joke in the low post then, why would Woods continue to front him and deny him the ball? By your logic (or should I say reasoning cause dude you're pretty illogical), the best thing for Woods to do is to allow him to catch the ball in the low post cause Yao's post game is a "joke". In regards to your injury dig, look at Shaq and how hurt's he's been. Or look how short R. Sampson's career was. It's a fact that big men get hurt easier. Plus, I'm pretty sure that Yao still hasn't missed a game due to injury.

Lol, you are clearly getting a kick out of not making sense. Yao is a joke in the post? I guess T-mac doesn't have any handles either

Yao and AK are 2 totally different players. It's like comparing Kareem in his prime to Larry Bird. Bottom line is they both make a tremendous difference in their team. I have a feeling that we will be seeing Utah for many years to come and the rivalry will be hot and heavy. I look for Boozer to fulfill the dirty Karla role. In my mind right now, Utah is the 3rd best team in the West. When the Rockets add a couple more parts to go with TMac and Yao, this will be the premier matchup in the West for several years, along with Phoenix. San Antonio and Minnesota are today's teams. Tomorrow's teams are Houston, Utah, and Phoenix.

Yao needs to get ball more because he should. People here calling for this are very knowledgeble about basketball. If you dont want to see this to succeed while just wanna see some showmanship, you can play NBA Live 2005.
