can we just trade for rudy? the guy can flat out play. good court vision, passes the ball, plays off the ball pretty well and can shoot. he'll be perfect for adelman's system.
I wish we could've gotten a Ron Harper for the number 8 pick. Im really hoping Trevor Ariza can be that for us.

we can say the same thing about battier and ariza. or landry and scola. and it's not as if we're gonna play them at the same time. and who doesnt want more offensive power? if youre gonna run and gun, at least have the right personnel to do so.
Man, if Tracy said something like that about our team, this board would go more nuts than it already has...
Of course, Brandon Roy doesn't have the track record of running his mouth and saying a lot stupid things in public like McGrady has either. Roy's track record of behavior in Portland is a lot different than McGrady's in Houston. If McGrady hadn't exploded his credibility countless times since coming to Houston, he could get away with saying something like that. But he's dug his own hole and has to live there until he finally leaves town.
Actually, if Tracy took that type of initiative and showed those kinds of leadership qualities since day 1 the board would be ecstatic and the GARM wouldn't look like what it does today.
I think Roy and McGrady are very similar players. Roy is a better shooter so people don't really take offense to him playing on the ball as much as he does.
Roy is a big part of the new Blazers who have reclaimed their name from the JailBlazers era. Portland fans were disillusioned. If Roy and McGrady were very similiar that does not happen.
I'm not sure what you meant by that jailblazer comment. A)McGrady isn't a criminal, so yeah, he would have been a step in the right direction for that team too. I try not to discuss character issues because it's usually a matter of opinion so we can let that topic die. B) I said they were similar players. Listen, I know everyone hates Mcgrady's personality and everyone loves Roy's personality, i get that. I'm sure you had leadership and some other intangibles in mind in your post. I was talking strictly from an on court perspective. They are both SG's that operate more like PG's. They prefer controlling the tempo and breaking down the D in a half court situation, whether it be by PnR or some other set play. They both have an array of moves to go to from mid-range. Yes, they are similar players. You could say Brandon Roy is better but he still plays a similar style.
lol. It was just an observation guys. A "could you imagine?" type deal. Didn't mean to ignite the TMac hate.
Roy's recent comments make sense. However, from someone who doesn't watch the Blazers much, it is kind of weird that they would put Miller back on the bench since the Blazers have been winning. Regardless, Roy is a playmaker and he has to have the ball in his hands to be a much better player. Sort of like Tracy, Kobe, Pierce, etc etc, he cannot defer to another point running the show full time.
