I wish my doctor was the same way. My assumption was doctors don't want email communications with patients because they don't want to be bombarded with emails asking for free help.

I guess most doctors are like that, more traditional in that way. But I think with the newer generation that is more technologically savvy and socially online, it really doesn't take much time to read an e-mail and reply to it. I still keep a separate personal and professional e-mail.

I'm not diagnosing patients through e-mail, but I can tell if they need to be seen or not. Like I said, most of the time, my e-mails are just to checkup on my patients to see if they're improving or not.

This! Too much to lose....If I were you (OP) I would cross my fingers for there to be some freaky crap going on and perhaps give yourself a chance to cash in.

Don't you find yourself being absolutely pathetic being a physician and wasting time reading through all this garbage??? I certainly do.....

I think it is sad how there is such a negative stigma towards doctors. People think we're out to steal your money, your wives, and your kids. That's why we spend 8+ years of our lives in higher education, slave away in school and amass huge student loan debts, and start having a real life years after our friends have. Hide your kids, hide your wives, and hide your husbands, because we doctors are coming for them.

One could argue you are diagnosing by determining if someone needs to be seen.

Regardless, props to you. We need more "social" doctors. I love my doc because he is very good, but he insists that you come in for an appointment. Period. End of story. My ENT is the same way and I (incorrectly) concluded this was a standard across-the-board practice.

Email the Doc a picture of your junk to let him know who he's dealing with.

Probably some sizable age gap that's adding to the insecurities.

Stay strong the shark, womens can smell the fear miles away like how some animals can smell blood.

Especially the water kind. If I only knew the name of it...

Your wife and the doctor are probably having cybersex via e-mail while you read this.

Why not create a common email account for you and your wife and use that to communicate with the doctor? Its about your daughter, after all.

If there is so little trust between op's wife and him that they need a common email then there might be a problem with their relationship.

Why should it be about trust? Both parents have a right to communicate directly with the doctor about it. A common email for this purpose makes the most sense.

Would titty****ing your wife be considered adultery?

    Appreciate the insight.

    "What a spaz"?

Go back to my original comment. I was asking if this was appropriate as I had never heard of a Dr doing this. If some drs do indeed do this great, end of story. So I'm a spaz for asking a question?

Forget the spaz comments. You asked a simple question. Don't sweat the snarky replies.

No, but I think you are misinterpreting the doctor's intent. Go with the times. Any means of communication are good when it comes to communicating quickly and efficiently with your doctor. If I was a doctor, I would use e-mail too.

Only if she is hawt and I want to set up a date with her  :p
