Is it acceptable to show up to a Rockets game in a Tracy McGrady jersey nowadays?

They do something with an old jersey trade in. If you "like" the Rocketsshop.com on facebook, they'll often send some reminders. On certain games, they'll take back old jerseys and offer a 50% discount on the purchase of a new jersey. This was posted for the month of march at the Rocketsshop.com's facebook page.

He was in a public place, at a game where a ton of people were taking random pictures. In fact, he was standing up taking a picture when I took that picture. I thought it was strange for a Rockets fan to wear a McGrady jersey given what went down to end his career as a Rocket, so I took that picture.

Put it this way.......Ill keep mine forever not to mention the fact that he may easily end up on a vet minimum here in houston again (Im sure everyone would dust off their old ones if not buy new ones once he starts averaging triple doubles)

That year was the birth of Clutch City.

    Clutch City > McGrady

Carl Herrera was critical off the bench to help beat the Knicks in the NBA Finals.

McGrady fans don't know what NBA Finals means. They can't conceptualize it.
    Breath it, or taste it.

Usually NBA Finals for them means googling the web for Tim Grover training videos.

Meh. Is it acceptable for the Rockets to prominently feature McGrady in their “44 Years of Tradition” video? The tail end of T-Mac’s time here was dishonorable, no doubt, but the organization obviously still thinks there’s a lot worth remembering. I don’t see what’s so wrong with some fans having the same perspective.

Now, whoever here said they turned their #1 T-Mac jersey into a #1 T-Willy jersey, sorry but that’s pretty foolish to me--at least McGrady did a lot for the franchise. What has T-Will done other than complain on Twitter and play like utter crap?

Rockets made a tribute video to Landry and Brooks on their return to the Toyota Center after being trade. Not for T-Mac. I think that sends a greater message of what the organization thinks than being included in the "44 Years of Tradition" video.

Oh wells, he was a Rocket and he did do some good things for the franchise

I would still wear it, but I don't own his jersey.

It's funny you should mention that. I was just thinking no telling what our team is next year because Morey doesn't seem to care much who he trades. Just as long as he thinks he's improving the team.

I'm kind of old school and I like to keep the players around for a couple of seasons if they show promise. But I really do like this squad Morey has put together and that includes trading AB for Goran and letting Battier for almost nothing. We are playing about as good as anyone not named L.A.. If Yao comes back we really do have a legitimate contender. Of course the chances of us having the same team next year are very slim. Still I mostly trust Morey to somehow improve the team. ANd I expect Patterson, Hill, Bud, Goran, Lee and even Lowry all to be at least a little better next year. Martin and Scola are solid so if they stay the same we'll be okay. Lot
s to look forward including 2 first round picks.
