Take the baby. He won't have to pay for a ticket. He'll probably sleep through most of it. Might become briefly famous on the fan-cam. Probably won't make much of a fuss (unless he has colic, but then you wouldn't even bother asking us), and if he did, it wouldn't matter because it isn't a quiet place anyway. When babies are asleep, they are pretty oblivious to everything (at least mine were); I wouldn't think noise would be a problem. Rimrocker is right -- 6 month olds are very portable. Twelve months later, it'll get much harder to take him places.

from the perspective of the other fans, how is a baby gonna bother you at a sporting event. who are you listening to?

take the baby, wrap it up in some cuddly rockets gear, and you'll be on t.v. for sure

Last season, i took my 6 months old nephew to the game. he didn't know what's going on, he was really afraid from the noise. I felt that I punished him by taking him there. I advise you not do it. Wait another year.

    babysitter.

you'll appreciate the break and the baby will be more comfortable at home.

A couple with a newborn sat next to my group at an Astros game. It didn't seem like a good environment for the baby, and the couple looked pretty uncomfortable too.

Anytime I've seem a parent with a small child at a game, the parent always ends up spending more time taking care fo the child than at the game, which kind of defeats the purpose of going to the game in the first place

I say take the baby, but just let us all know where you are sitting so we won't be sitting next to ya... :D ..... honestly though I don't think you'll enjoy the game, and your baby certainly won't remember the game in any measure... babysitter is my call.

bring her to a mavericks game and you can guarantee that she won't be the biggest crybaby in the stadium.

if I smell baby poop in the closing moments of a close game, my hot dog will sour my stomach.

its a terrible idea. i'd recommend getting her sleep issues all ironed out before six months best you can, and getting a sitter. staying out late with a baby is a huge pain, and she'll need to eat or nap or whatever. It's like an airplane flight with lights and noise. Whats she gonna do there?

although you at least be able to discern one person at the arena on the radio, IF she cries. Which she will as soon as Francis runs a fast break.

think of the crying baby behind you on that redeye flight

plus, occasionally, fans have a tendency to use certain 4 letter words...

Take the baby. Leave the cannoli.

(Seriously, though, get a sitter. The odds that being at the game will make the baby miserable are way too high. And the misery will immediately fall on you.)

Actually, the noise level at the games is EXTREMELY bad for infants. A six month old is still very much in their early developmental stages and it could damage their hearing long term.

I don't see the problem, Jeff Van Gundy brought a baby to all 41 home games.

Call the promotions department or sweet susie. They usually have a game during a timeout involving babies where they race to the center of a circle. Enter yours in that.
