    No... I'm saying that "Okay... (read between the lines here, it ain't hard...) IF this is true, IF it all pans out that this is the case.... THEN you've got some sort of a level area here"... Ifshin vs. Ayers..... Ayers is the greater problem. Ayers lit stuff, and it went booooom.

    Don't insinuate I'm okay with either situation.

    I have not said that I believe all conservatives or even a significant fraction of them feel that way. I am concerned that the smearing and the rhetoric being thrown out by the right could inflame a random nutjob. When they keep calling someone a Muslim and a terrorist and say they hate this country, it's going to piss off someone.

    I'm worried about it too. It doesn't mean I'll go around telling conservative members on here what they should hope for for being in their current position.

    It bothers me for anyone to mention it at all. Is there good reason to bring it up on other threads?

    If McCain is equally as unelectable then neither of us have a candidate worth casting a ballot for.


    Look... both have claims against them... I'd like proof, or disproof of either.

    You're right. I was just pointing out to the OP that this stuff does not matter to voters (nor should it) and these distractions are not going to work in this election. I should not have been so reckless with a comment like that. I am really concerned at the direction this smear campaign could lead though.

    You don't have a candidate worth voting in if you believe in this association crap. Then again, if you're going to determine a vote based on this...well, really, it's probably better that you don't vote at all.
