The western teams are so strong and so close. Is it possible that 60% winning team not making Playoff this year? Last year 50% was not enough
We have 9 teams that are capable of winning 50+ games, and one of them is not going to make the playoffs.
The bottom of the West is very weak this year so there is going to be a big gap between the No.9 and No.10 spots in the West. Due to the weakness of the bottom teams, it is possible that a team can win 60% of their games (mostly against crappy teams) and not make the playoffs.
You say "weak", but the difference between 2 and 9 seeds is 4.5 games. If Rox lose 3 games in a row, which is entirely possible, we could be talking about the lottery when we should be talking championship. To me, that is not weak.
When he said the bottom of the West he meant Oklahoma City,Memphis,L.A Clippers, Golden St,Sacramento, and Memphis.
Last year, 58.5% wasn't enough. The Warriors won 48 games and didn't make it. 49 wins, which is 59.7%, wouldn't have got them in either so 60% basically wasn't good enough last season.
