I still laugh when someone posted that he could probably kill someone and they'd still have to contemplate if he'd be fired. The funny line was right after that when someone posted "We all have to die someday". LOL - that's pretty much how I feel. I really like how there is constant focus on D. Your shots may not always be dropping but good D will keep you in the game.
i'd prolly let go of sudoku if the team drops to play-in. hire jvg and watch him turn shenjoon into a post monster hof goat
I’m so glad we got him ! He was my number one choice of all time since I loved this team ! I know he was elite and could turn this franchise ! So excited
Damn there have been some REAL bad takes so far. FVV worst signing in history. Brooks overpaid. Udoka overrated. Sheesh. Ls going all over the place. Except for the Rockets at Toyota Centre.
Obviously, Ime's the man. In setting culture, as well as strategic in game decisions, personnel...I was excited about the hire, but seeing him do it....and, how he does it...This guy's got it all, and should become another Houston superstar. In Ime We Trust.
One of the hardest things for a coach to do is to get NBA players to give consistent effort on defense game after game. Udoka has done that. I think we are seeing why the Rockets wanted players like FVV, Brooks, and Green. These guys bring it day after day. Add in players like Tate, Tari, and Sengun, and now we have a nice core of players who love to compete and want to win.
OKC is on pace to 50+ wins. That is surely more than the typical improvement. Nick Nurse might also have a chance, righting the ship in philly. We'll see the rest of the season brings but I think it is between Ime, Mosley and Daigneault mainly, assuming the teams stay in play-off contention.
Adelman's offense + Ime's defense would be... I think Adelman is the better coach. Ime is like JVG on steroids plus with much better player relationship management.
Yes, of course. He is still growing as a coach - and learning - an example is how poor he is at challenges, or that he hasn't set a hierarchy on offense. But he is still a great coach, just not elite....YET ! DD
As a second year HC he is great. He is a young coach and will learn a lot such as : -Challenging -B plan -Self-criticise -Clutch plays -Concentration lapses -TIme-outs for momentum change. He will get better players than FVV and Dillon Brooks and will grow up together with the young core. He is good enough for the current squad but needs better players and self-improvement for the rings. Hope he will be the guy we hoped for.
