vince young vs reggie bush wasn't classic in the same sense as the others but was classic not only because of how long it ended up being, but b/c we freakin' ended up not taking either, which just made it funny to me.

I'm going to read it again just for nostagia. Honestly, it was the best thread I've ever read. I can guarantee I'm going to have 3+ spit-takes re-reading it...

 

I'll agree with the poster that said this thread actually detracts from the greatness of hotballas thread. I mean, come on, don't ride the coattails of someone else's thread to try and get your own monster thread, just participate in the original.

This was the fallout thread from the infamous Summer Of YoYao. A very underrated thread in the history of this great bbs.It was in the feedback forum, so I think a lot of people missed it. If you were one of them, do yourself a favor and take a look, especially if you remember all the parties involved and how it all went down.

Clutch is in rare form in this thread. Even better than the McBeth thread IMO. Several BRUTAL beat downs, including an epic "graph" later on in the thread. Not to mention totally exposing a couple of posters including Friendly Fan (if anyone remembers that guy).

Yea, that was great. All of the ones that francis 4 prez listed are great; much better than hotballa's thread. Which I agree with others - his opening post might be one of the best ever but that hardly qualifies it as the greatest thread ever. For a thread to be truly great, there has to be some beatdowns and smackdowns and all kinds of craziness going on.

I've noticed a lot of "Greatest of all time" threads lately. Shouldn't we be waiting till the end of time to decide?

 

i remember taking one in the heart for Omega Supreme. I think I went at Clutch for using his infinite powers and that graph to embarrass Omega Supreme. But, yeah, seems the graph and post-graph parts of that thread are gone.

btw: I really felt bad about that thread. Worse than diving on the grenade for jamcracker. Clutch deserves better. I still hope he forgives to this day. or at least doesn't think twice about me. The latter would probably be best.

 

Aw, that's a shame. I guess the Summer Of YoYao is now officially dead and buried. Oh, well. I can see why the Mods didn't want to bring that thread up. I feel kind of bad for even mentioning it now.

 

I really enjoyed Preston's thread. The issue with the disruptive people at the training session at the call center was interesting. This bad behavior led to preston 27 being seated by the young lady. Fate and Romance....
