I think the disposition of the SOS's email should have been under the direction of the Secret Service. Of all the things Ms. Clinton should know and decide on, the technical security of her email probably isn't her expertise. She just did what was convenient.
I don't think people will be able to dig up genuine dirt on Bernie, but I think he's highly vulnerable to swiftboating. We are already starting to see a lot of guilt-by-association attacks trying to make his democratic socialism look more sinister. I bet the lawyers did advise her to do just that. They said the Freedom of Information Act could be dangerous because something she did at State could come out later, and then her political enemies would take it out of context, twist it, and use it against her when she runs for President. It's better, they probably told her, to set up a private server like other Secretaries have done in the past and make sure none of her email gets released. That it is shady and has no respect for the rules is the telltale sign that it was dreamt up by lawyers!
You really dont get it. She is not some low level skirt just out of college serving as a secretary to an insignificant VP of a small company. This is post 9/11. This is post Snowden. This is post Private Manning. She knows the rules very well, especially considering she travels the world. Her staff knows the rules. Everyone around her fully understands these rules. Pulling the negligent card on her behalf only shows you know nothing about this subject.
Lets not forget she's an attorney. If ANYONE should understand following rules, its an attorney. Unfortunately, some attorney's also think they can sleaze their way through life by just denying everything thrown their way. Hillary is one such person.
Even worse, even if it was true, it's not an excuse for breaking the law. Even if she is just completely incompetent, she still regularly broke the law.
