I think Head will be traded. I surely do, why? He was going to be a Timberwolve, meaning he's not as untouchable as we think, he's a lot more expendable. He was the price of moving from Foye to Roy. We added on Head with Foye for Roy. If we thought of that, I think it means we wouldn't go away from the idea of dealing Luther Head and try to deal him with Juwan for something. It wouldn't be such an opposed suggestion, as considered, basically.
hope we keep Head, he proved to able to put up a decent amount of stats when our all stars were out so why not keep him until we really see how much he has improved. i like HEAD.
What we have at back court: rafer, vspan, JL3, snyder, sura, head this is a good balance of size and speed. I don't see they make any change at back court this offseason.
I'm with those who argue that Head goes no place unless and until we sign a significant perimeter player (whether a PF or a SG) to replace his offense. I like Luther but he's undersized at the 2 and is not fluid enough with the ball in his hands to be a starting PG unless it's on a bad team (like the ROX last year). Sadly, Alston's contract means he's not going anywhere because he's untradeable. (What an asinine decision by the ROX to swap him for MJ by the way!!). Having said both of those things, as we work on getting stronger (not necessarily younger still), Juwan and Head are pretty much our only trade bait unless we throw in the TE and future picks... Now if we can sign Reggie Evans outright with the remainder of the MLE, then our off-season is done because of our inability to manage the cap effectively!!
Who knows what the Rockets are thinking some days but I would be shocked if they went after Reggie Evens considering we have Chuck Hayes who rebounds the ball extreamly well already. As far as I can tell rebounding is about all we would get from Evans. Also, I don't think our off-season is done. CD has stated that he is looking more towards making trades now than trying to sign free agents. CD has stated that he is not impressed with this years crop of free agents as a whole.
