I think this entire ritual is ridiculous. I have almost no respect for organized religions in general, and even less for islam in particular.

I just don't understand why a pilgramage to a few pillars can't be regionalized somehow, made symbolic, have church-sanctioned home devil pillars to throw stones at. I mean, can you imagine a few million Catholics showing up to the Vatican once a year for a ceremony? Italy would be PISSED!
I think it's good adeelsiddiqui bothers to correct some of the members' ignorant comments. Ya know, there are some unknowledgeable people who really would like to know the truth; just because you're ignorant doesnt mean you're totally narrow minded and impossible to get through. Maybe what he says doesnt change aceshigh's and mleahy's ideas, but he could change the mind of many other members on this board or maybe get someone to consider his thoughts for just a second. That's a good enough reason to argue in my mind.

I don't like religion and I most certainly don't like islam. As an atheist, I happen to consider religious zealots like yourself ignorant. That said, there are some religions that have more benefits to society than others. Of the world's major religions, islam is the most backward, dangerous, and most detrimental to global society. And I really don't care if any of you politically correct morons happen to disagree with me or not.

yes and your bashing of my religion makes me giddy see if we had this conversation face to face, well actually there would be no conversation because you wouldnt be able to talk with all your teeth in your stomach that is the one thing that upsets me, people talking badly about my religion, you should tread lightly on some topics, it may get you hurt if you say it to someones face
