I love Greg. He isn't a good defender because he is extremely foul prone. His one on one D is good but his overall team defense is poor. But his hands & his pick setting & rolling is solid. I want the Rockets to keep him & work with him. He is one player I don't want on the trading block.

Funny story Greg tweeted out Great win by the rockets a few games ago, Lin Harden Mook balled out. And Parsons RT & was like "ouch". And then Jeremy RT & was like I don't talk to people who take pictures of me while I sleep.

    This team is very close.

he's still one of the rawest members of our team. he's a liability on defense. He's still developing because he left school too early and he's still super-young. He's not a true center; he's a power forward.

so tell me how he's being underutilized? I'm amazed he gets as much playing time as he does. he will be a good player one day if he keeps working. He's got the talent to be really good. But he's far from multidimensional right now, and thus should only be used when circumstances call of it. I think McHale is using him appropriately.

I like Smith but he's undersized as a center. Seems like he would be a better 4 if he had a mid range game.

I would like the Rockets to have more of a rim defender big backing up Asik instead of Smith but I have no complaints about his performance on the court other than tying his shoes in the lane.

He would definitely increase the PnR threat if played alongside Lin and Harden; but he doesn't strech the floor as well as 2pat and Morris, and also he fouls alot...

It'd be interesting to see him on the court with Asik, Lin, Parsons, and Harden; however, I can't imagine how congested the paint is gonna be.

Problem is he's a defensive liability, pick up quick stupid fouls. He's a great energy spark guy reminds me of Landry, but he's undersized and too inexperienced on the defense end to play him too much. That being said, I don't see why not he can get 20 min a game with reasonable match ups.

Smith's defense has been horrible as of late. His offense is solid enough though.

Asik + Smith means no driving lanes what so ever... Smith plays like a 5, and that should be his position.
