So has EG been depressed his WHOLE career? I'm talking his entire HS/college/ and NBA career he's been like this. You aren't understanding what I'm trying to say. Even when he wasn't in trouble like he is now, he's never improved his game. If he comes back from clinical depression(which it might not be) or drugs or whatever, what then? We'll have the same ol' EG before his troubles...but that's not saying much. And really, 9/6/1.5 in 25 mins. on less than 30% shooting(in the preseason) isn't worth all the troubles that comes with it. Hell, it's not worth it even if he did have his head on straight. Obviously you think he's worth the risk even though there's nothing but if, if, if and potential to back it up. I don't.
I think he will return. If my girl ever pulled a stunt like that i would have done the same thing. He'll get help and be back sometime in December. The Rox need to get AGriffin and Pike back quick to get some kind of depth.
Great potential is as good as nothing if he doesnt fullfill it. There are too many players who fall under the 'potential' banner, lets hope EG can get his life on track and be what we all hope he can.....
No one in the draft would have made that pick over Griff. Wallace wasnt all that great(he's still not) Arenas was just another baller. and Okur couldve been Mirsad Turkan. Griffen was the Hyped up player from seton hall, he was the one who could've been picked out of highschool. He proved that he could play with the big boys in college and hence was drafted top 10. Another reason i believe CD took this chance on such a young one(the youngest rocket ever) is because he got the whiplash of not picking up another young player(rashard) and he still probably hears about it left and right.
