DMo has great potential. His low post games is not bad at all. He needs more time to develop.

I don't think so. DMo didn't get a lot of playing time last year (and sometimes deservedly so). Although I still think DMo has a much more intriguing skillset.

I am sure a lot of GM's covet donuts more than TJones.

I think you guys underestimate T Jones. For one Lamarcus Aldridge is a bad matchup for all PFs..he is a great player. We are using a top 3 at worst PF to judge a 2nd year player who would be a college senior at Kentucky and sat the bench his rookie year when he wasn't in the D League. He avg 12 and 7 on a 54 win team whose offense took off when he was inserted. Now about defense. Individual defense is not as important as team defense. The Rockets defense breaks down at all positions, not just Jones and Harden. Miami plays good D with Rashard Lewis, James Jones, and Haslam playing the 4. Why? Because the team mentality is lockdown on D and they rotate, chase, and help...things our team doesn't do yet. Jones has a promising future and for sure is more valued than D mo. Not even close IMO.

I think jones is/will be a valuable player, and will get a lot better for three more years, a very versatile 4. But if you are picking just 1 to keep, go 7 feet tall.

I beg to differ. There are many 7ft stiffs in the NBA. Jones has PG handles and can make plays off the bounce. If Dmo was the defender and rebounder a
Asik is with his post game then you have a point. He doesn't play like he is 7ft so the point is moot.

Even though they both played PF for us, their skill sets are very different. TJones is more athletic, with good handles, decent shot blocking skills and some offensive skills. DMo is a legit 7ft, runs well, has fantastic low post skills, has improved his position defense, and is a decent passer. If either one of them could become a more consistent 3-pt threat, we would have an interesting duo to run our 4 spot.

I had hope that they would make a dramatic leap, neither did, but they did both show improvement that was encouraging.

While adding Bosh, Love or another elite-4 would be ideal. If we don't get one of them, I won't be too disappointed if these two guys can continue their improvement.

DMO isn't even close to Jones in terms of value. There's a reason Jones plays and DMO doesn't.
