Nope, not at all. I'm fully aware that our starters aren't locked into minutes and we have the ability to substitute players at our discretion. You're the one unable to accept that. That's why you're trying to frame your argument with the premise of "using only our starters....". Strict parameters like that undermine your actual argument, and anyone who bothers to read your drivel is left asking themselves "what's the point?"
that's why you still haven't answered the question. "or whatever" is not an answer. unless that is a smart one in your book
that's why you only just run your mouth and never back it up. Ive offered tip jar bets so many times yet you run and hide with a tail between your legs as fast as Deandre Jordan went back to the clippers. Just goes to show, you just like to spit garbage. atleast you know it is, since you show no confidence in it
Not really. DMo has a legit low-post game. Howard doesn't. Howard's low-post game is mechanical, predictable, and inefficient. He's actually airballed hook shots b/c he caught the ball a few feet further out than he wanted.
No, he's better off learning some basketball and being able to contribute to a basketball conversation, but we all know that's not going to happen.
I agree with you, but for a different reason. Yes, Dirk was "guarding" KJ, but that is because cross-matchups happen so much more now than ever, designed to: 1.) hide their weakest positional defender (Dirk) on the least capable offensive option on the opposing team (KJ), and 2.) because KJ isn't a factor (as far as perimeter shooting goes), Dirk was allowed to simply clog the paint on Harden's drives to the basket. As far as Sewer is concerned, no one was guarding him because that's exactly who DAL wanted to be shooting (either him or Terry). I also didn't want Ariza starting on Dirk. I wanted D-Mo to be out there last night; and if not him, then Beasley or Smith. In both the playoff series last season and the last game vs DAL (in TC), Smith simply KILLED the Mavs because Dirk could not be hidden anywhere on defense. That 4-5 PnR was truly unstoppable and even Carlisle had no answers at all for it. If JBB wanted to have Ariza on Dirk at any point in the game last night, it should have been at the end of the game as a "different look" thrown at Dirk. He would have been completely roasted on defense if D-Mo (in the post), Beasley (mid-range), or Smith (PnR situations) would have been out there in the starting lineup instead of JBB allowing Dirk to "hide" on KJ instead of one of DAL's wing players. And yes, JBB allowed it because he didn't have a bigger player out there that Dirk would have been forced to try to defend. *However, Ariza-defending-Dirk worked, because he only scored 7 points for the entire game. I know that those lineups were inexcusable. I am not trying to justify what JBB did because I was extremely pissed about it as well. If Dirk would have been forced to defend either D-Mo, Beasley, or Smith, Rockets win last night. But because JBB was stupid to not have at least one of them out there when it mattered most (and Dirk got away with hiding on KJ or Sewer), we lost. If the closing lineup was Bev/Harden/Ariza/Beasley/D-Mo, Rockets win because with that lineup, Dirk CAN'T hide on anyone.
DD has it..... don't deplete your size and rebounding when you have other non-all-star players you can replace.
Talking about years past, dimwit. Specifically last year. DMo is just not in a state where he's going to be counted on to make a difference... maybe if they rest him every other game (which they essentially did with the benching last night), he can come in and make a positive impact... but he's clearly not able to play 30+ minutes with any sort of effectiveness or stamina.
Here were Dirk's stats in those 3 games last year: 11/22/14: 4-18 for 11 pts, 7 rbs, 2 ast. 1/28/15: 4-11 for 14 pts, 5 rbs, 1 ast. 2/20/15: 6-13 for 12 pts, 6 rbs, 2 ast. Here were DMo's stats: 11/22/14: 5-7 for 14 pts, 12 rbs, 2 ast. 1/28/15: 6-16 for 16 pts, 5 rbs, 1 ast. 2/20/15: 3-8 for 7 pts, 8 rbs, 1 ast. Please, tell me more about how Dirk played more quality minutes.
We are tainting. We have to. We loss the game because DMo didn't play in the final minutes. We had no big defenders that could grab rebounds tonight. The many Offensive rebounds by the Suns killed us.
