Who could be easily guarded by others letting Ariza take someone who can't be easily guarded by others. It was a stupid, stupid decision by a guy who has no business coaching basketball in the NBA.
It's pretty clear you're biased and ignorant. In the 4 games against Dallas this year, DMo has played a grand total of 0 minutes.
like? look like a great decision since dirk was a non factor last night. but please tell us what matchup would be just the best
Exactly. Dirk was a non-factor. With the proper matchups, Dirk would've been a liability to the Mavericks. It's easy to guard Ariza/Brewer in a half-court offense. They float around the perimeter, can barely dribble, and rarely attack the rim. Can you imagine Dirk trying to guard Beasley?
You're reading what were talking about backwards. We are talking about defense here. Dirk was a non factor and Ariza had the huge hand in that. He had a problem with using Ariza to guard Dirk who again was a non factor bc of him. that's why i asked since he wants to criticize the move so bad what would have been the best matchups then defensively
You're failing to look at the big picture. Look at Dirk's recent games. He's been in a major slump. We could've gotten away with using Beasley to guard him. That would've allowed Ariza to guard Matthews, and we could've hidden Harden on Justin Anderson. Additionally, that would've forced Dirk to guard Beasley, and in that matchup, Beasley has a huge advantage.
You fail to understand, DMo could have defended Dirk just fine and he still would have been a non-factor and Ariza would have been freed up to guard Matthews or whatever. It was just a really poor job of matching players up by JBB, but of course that's to be expected at this point.
There's no failing to see anything here. i dont care about that. that's not what is being talked about here with another poster. why are you even bringing that up with me. it's not relevant to the discussion im currently having and still waiting on the answer for. That "big picture" is something entirely different where you're just stating the obvious. Beasley is not part of this current discussion or the starting 5 last night Again since he wants to complain about using Ariza on Dirk defensively, he should tell us what would have been the matchups out of the starting 5 last night of Howard, Ariza, KJ, Harden, Bev. that came out on the + side.
Physically, I doubt it. His ego, however, has been severely damaged. Think about it: the failed trade with Detroit, playing very sparingly even though he was listed as a starter, to now being completely "phased out" of the rotation. All so that fool JBB can play the love of his life (Brewer) who not only has proven to be absolute garbage this entire season, but still confused: ) gets final minutes in crunch time of a must-win game and was picked to replace our only non-Harden producer and playmaker (in Beasley) in said crunch time, which was a big reason we took the L last night.
oh yes of course. the Dmo nutrider would use the answer of Dmo would of guarded him just fine. No surprise there. The poor job of matchups was the Brewer part. that's it. Dirk gets shutdown yet people still want to complain that another player would just shut up down just as well. just plain pathetic and indicative of how bad this season has become.
Who cares if he was on the starting 5 or not? He was an active player who played last night. Therefore, he's in the discussion. Also, it's not like we're forbidden to make early substitutions. We've seen DMo in the starting 5 and finish the game with less than 5 minutes played so clearly, JB knows it's an option.
SMH, well it doesn't shock me that the same person who thought that Terrence Jones was the next great PF would have such poor player analysis skills as to not realize the obvious point I'm making is valid. You need a role model.
Against Minnesota on 4/3/16, Dirk shot 4-18 for 13 points. Against Detroit on 4/1/16, Dirk shot 8-18 for 19 points. Against New York on 3/30/16, Dirk shot 5-23 for 11 points. Against Denver on 3/28/16, Dirk shot 4-17 for 10 points. Against Sacramento on 3/27, Dirk shot 6-15 for 14 points. How many of those teams have a SF/PF defender at Ariza's level?
damn you seriously have a hard time comprehending. are you that stubborn. how is it relevant to the discussion you weren't even a part of and you then turned it into beasley. if you're going to try and give input at least stay on topic his answer of Dmo could have guarded Dirk just as well and this would free up ariza to guard matthews or whatever just says everything.
puaha now you want to spin in and talk about TJ. typical armchair oh how is the great golden state won't even make the playoffs thing going. probably one of the dumbest things anyone has tried to push here and act like they know what they are talking about. what an idiot lol
You can say the same for Howard... The fact is this time does not recognize the low post game no matter who the low post player is... T_Man
Surely the plan was for Ariza to play the 4? Didn't he guard Dirk? So Motie would have been struggling on perimeter defence. McDaniels gets a go. Beasley mirrored the minutes of Lee Not saying I agree with the strat, but McDaniels wasn't the starting PF... Ariza was given Dirk.
That's not spin, it's just pointing out that you are terrible when it comes to player analysis so it's not shocking that you fail to keep up in conversation. You simply have no clue what a good basketball player looks like or what would make for good matchups on the court. It's okay, I'm sure you are doing your best, it's just pretty bad.....much like JBB.
