I know JB sucks as a head coach, but my heart of hearts tells me that there is no way in #%^* that he would bench his regular sized power forward in the biggest game of the year for a seriously undersized part time player. I like McDaniels, but have never thought of him as a power forward. Fun experiment if you are a team like the Sixers, not so fun/smart for a team trying to make the playoffs.

Someone in the game thread said he got in an argument at practice with JBB over a lack of post up opportunities and was benched because of it.

DMO and Dwight are almost in same boat. They want more post up opportunities to show there worth so that they can get paid this summer

Or maybe they know that multiple options make the team harder to guard?

JBB lost his damn mind. Benching the starting PF when we are wildly short on PFs all because D-Mo wants to take a few shots from your boyfriend Sewer. Harrell suspended. Doghouse already occupied by TJ. And you bench D-Mo.... Lost his locker room and his damn mind.

What if, when talking with the media, JB started talking like the guy from Slingblade?

Imagine the clip above as, say, Clutch, asking JB what he was thinking by benching DMo, in the same way JJ is asking Karl there what he wants to eat.

he didnt look injured. the dnpcd must have some other reasons.

but if the reason was really an argument w/ his hc... then screw jbb...

Dmo has had plenty of opportunities. No more excuses. Maybe he would get more post up opportunities if he would just make some dam shots.

This. But of course DD and the others will blame his passivity on JBB because it's ALWAYS the coach's fault when the players don't perform up to their potential.

Great example of how deceptive +/- can be.

It's the coach's fault when players are misused.

Even though DMo has gotten minutes this year, he's been misused. Last year, he shined when he got consistent post touches. How many post touches per game has he been getting this year? 1? Maybe 2? And the most frustrating part is that he usually scores when he gets the ball in the post.

Also, DMo isn't being passive. He's calling for the ball. He's just not getting it.

false, hes gotten plenty of touches thus far down low and plenty of opportunities. that shouldn't even be questioned. hes just not playing well while he just isn't able to play at that level he was at last year and thats not really a knock on him. hes been out for over a year and hasn't been able to play real basketball during this time. You realistically can't expect him to just play that well all of a sudden. Anyone who actually did were just being delusional. he needs a full offseason to actually get back into the swing of things assuming he can get back to full health. I hope he does. he can be a huge contributor for this team when hes healthy. unfortunately, that's just the recurring big question mark that we've been asking every year.

Absolutely wrong. He gets very few post touches. Watch the games.
