Really impressed with Parsons play late in the season and the playoffs but I'd part with him for DMC.

How about Parsons, Lin & Greg Smith. Would Sac do that deal?

sacramento would do this deal, but the great Daryl Morey will not allow such a deal

I think it makes sense to be interested, but we have to watch what we give up. If McHale could have a season or two with the guy, I can see him becoming a 20/10/2 on 50% shooting.

He has improved every year, despite everything horrible I have read about the Kings organization. I wonder how much of that is true.

It all depends on how the Kings see him. It is fair to say he would be more valuable to a team like us who could offer him excellent development as a big man.

I'd say the exact opposite. Morey would be falling over himself to make that swap.

You move Asik all day and twice on Sundays for Cousins. What we see is what we're going to continue to get from Asik. Solid defensive starter, rebounder. With Cousins we get above average starter, scorer, rebounder and only 22 years old. It's a no brainer. Hope Sac does it. If so WCF here we come after adding another perimeter scorer off the bench.

If the Kings haven't traded Cousins by now, I have to think that they are going to keep him in the near term. However, the new owners may want to get rid of Cousins and his tiny brain. I guess Cousins is an option for the Rockets for the right price.

You trade a package of Parsons, Asik and one of Trob, Dmo, or Jones for Love, LMA, or Cousins any day of the week. Quality always beats quantity in NBA trades just like the Tmac and Harden trades. If you secure Howard the valued be Moreys next move is a top PF by giving up a couple of cheap role players with upside. It cannot be said enough clutch fans always over values our players.

I'm with you Phillyrocket. I love Parsons but he's replaceable and his upside is not that of where Cousins is currently. Parsons cannot and unboubtedly will not ever be able to take over a game like Cousins can. Parsons is a great role player on a good team. Not a second option. He's more of a 3rd option whereas Cousins late in the game because of his post presence and ability could be the 1st option.

People overrate cousins way too much. I would most definitely not include parsons and would rather have asik than cousins unless we also got Howard only cuz cousins could probably team with Howard better. Not only has Demarcus not led his teams to any wins, but he's a head case. It's one thing to put up good numbers on a bad team, Irving and wall have been doing that and you can't deny they're not stars, but when you also cause so much drama when you haven't accomplished anything, no thanks. Cousins will never be a superstar and I bet he'll get paid like one.

You would not trade Asik straight up for Cousins? Thank god you're not in charge

Top 5 defensive center. But there's also offense, so multiply be two. And there are 5 positions on the court, so mutiply by 5. There's as many as 50 guys better than Asik. That pretty far from untouchable. Same with Parsons. I like both players, but they're not franchise players. I think Cousins on a professionally run team is. I'd trade Asik, Parsons, and throw in Lin too for him.

These trade ideas are all well and good, but the salaries have to match up.

Not that they would take this, but for trades it would have to be something more realistic like:

Houston in: Cousins, Salmons (really bad contract)
Sacramento in: Asik, Parsons, and a future 1st rounder

Depending on how much they value Cousins, that might not even be enough.

Royce White for Demarcus Cousins straight up.

At least Royce wouldn't be a distraction in the locker room. Or on the court. Or anywhere near the arena.

Throw in a fancy bus to make the salaries match.

    In Morey we trust.

This is such a stupid thread because of all the people saying no to cousins straight up. I would be ecstatic to have Cousins here. He is great.
