There are two types of coaches. Those that have been fired. And those that are going to be fired. Unfortunately for DD, that ain't happenin' this season.

The team and VG are playoff capable. I've never wavered and the sub .500 has not changed a thing in my way of watching the game.

It sure helps when a top 5, Superstar says the only place he will go is Houston. CD had little to do with getting TMac, but he had everything to do with what we gave away to get him. That would be 3/5 of a playoff bound starting five. I kind of think RudyT had more to do with the few good trades we've had and some bad ones. I don't think JVG has been effective at all in coaching the players he has got. He was obviously better at coaching the kind of talent the Knicks had in the mid-90's.

I think we should clean house.

Hey I have no problem with Van Grumpy if he lets the Rockets play offense like they have been playing offense lately.

    Fine with me:

Low scoring games where we win.
High scoring games where we win.
High scoring games where we win quite often.

    Not fine with me:
Low scoring games where we constantly lose.
Actually, any kind of games where we constantly lose.

Wow, what an insightful post, of course the only difference is that I DO KNOW what I am talking about.

You on the other hand are just talking about another poster...good on ya mate, way to take a stand.

What is it the mighty Darkhorse would do to right the ship?

    HMMMM??

My point is that the problems ailing this team cannot be summed up into a single, nice package, anymore than last years problems could be summed up with Steve Francis. And yet, over and over again, we saw you leading the charge to run him out of town.

Maybe Van Gundy is a problem, but his departure won't fix the situation at power forward, point guard, or small forward.

Maybe the problem is CD's inability to sign talent. Maybe Les is unwilling to spend money unless a player is marketable. Maybe Eddie Griffin poisoned the franchise with his ways. Maybe getting Riddy of Ruddy wasn't the answer, either.

And maybe, just maybe, putting "DD" at the bottom of your posts doesn't make you right.

Roxs are 6-2 in the last 8 games, and Van Gundy has opened up the offense more. Come on, as much as some of you may hate to admit it but this team is progressing.

I’m not saying that there aren’t things still wrong with this team, my personal wish is a strong power forward, but I think Van Gundy is showing, so far, that he is more flexible than some of you think he is.

I still think he can get this team to the playoffs and I don’t think we’ll see him gone at the end of this year.

I still don't understand how you guys can say that JVG has closed down our offense. Every play you see him swirling his arms and yelling for the guys to push it up the floor and run. Clearly its the lack of rebounding / outlet passes and the inefficient floor running of our players causing the problem, not the coach. All you hate mongers just take a toke off the hooka and chill the heck out.

Asking for them to fire JVG for the lack of talent on the team is like trying to blame GW Bush for Clintons failed foriegn policy. Its emotional and sounds good but when you really stop and think through it rationally it just plain nonsense.

He's just doing that so that they can get into their half court offense w/more time on the shot clock, so that they can hold the damned ball longer. Cynical but true.

He has everything to do with it. TMac didn't want to come here for the weather. He came here because of the reputation of the Rockets org and because of our pick when we won the lottery a fews years ago. And remember many said Yao would be a bust (even some here still claim that  ) and would have picked someone else. Then, he had to make the trade work with a rookie GM.

CD has everything to do with why TMac wanted to come here.
