the old old caleague was amazing, if you didn't mind the racism and degenerate teen humor... same goes for domain of pain forums for the oldschool gamers FPSers
So the true test would be if one were to start this thread "Is SoSH the FB of forums" over there, would anyone over that board recognize clutchfans as an equally worthy bbs??
Technically, you're not allowed to post here unless you are over 13. But anyone can just put in "born in 1980" during registration. And if you're looking for a message board that "appeals to all" good luck finding it! Specialization is what keeps boards active and people interested in them. I've been to a few "general" boards and they all suck.
This is the best sports forum, and one of the best forums around. look at some people that said it: 2001 - Recognized by Sports Illustrated in the March 5, 2001 issue as "one of the more imaginative and thorough fan-operated sites on the Web" 2006 - Nicknamed "The Undisputed Grandaddy of NBA Fansites" by Sports Illustrated (SI.com) 2008 - Cited as "one of the longest running independent hoops websites around, old school and rock solid like the Sugarhill Gang" by the Los Angeles Times.
I can't quit the BBS hangout. Aside from layout, which is almost perfect, the people make it great. It's mature, self moderating, funny, smart and respectful. It had an awesome mix of people from all walks of life so the conversations are all over the place.
