The funniest crap I heard about Capela last year was how limited his ceiling is, how he doesn't have any moves...at age 22! Its a ****ing joke people here think they can predict what Capela will become at 22 yrs old lmao.

There's a reason Morey went out of his way last year to say trading Capela wasn't in their plans.

According to analysis from Second Spectrum, Clint Capela's shots off of passes from Harden this season have had a quantified Shot Quality (qSQ) of 68% which is the highest of any passer/shooter duo with at least 20 shots created. That means that an average player would have an eFG of 68% from the shots Capela took - based on location, shot type, and defensive pressure. LeBron to Love was second at 56%.

It’s been stated ad nauseam that Clint doesn’t have the motor for 30+. From the pre draft to every offseason. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t play hard, he has a high motor, but he doesn’t have the tank to run said motor for more than 26ish a game. There is a reason we have so many centers on the squad.

Dude is clearly a legit 6'11 and probably taller than Nene. He had Bullard looking up at him with eye to eye contact. The skill set is there and he's probably top 5 big in the league at this moment.

The scoring and rebounding are very nice and he hasn't even really played with Paul yet. However I am more concerned on the defensive side of the ball. If the Rockets crack the top 5-8 defensively, it is going to be in large part because of a defensive dominant center.

Yes, I showed Capelas good DRtg at the moment.

Here are the team numbers this year vs last year in a few stats (per basketball-reference.com)
(new players to incorporate each season.....last season numbers are results of the finished product sum)

Pace: 100.0 (3rd in 16/17), 97.5 (20th in 17/18). When CP3 comes back, he will need to learn not to hold ball so long
    Pts/game: 115.3 (2nd in 16/17), 105.8 (13th in 17/18)
    Opp Pts/game: 109.6 (26th in 16/17), 102.8 (12th in 17/18)
    ORtg: 114.7 (2nd in 16/17), 108.5 (11th in 17/18)
    DRtg: 109.0 (18th in 16/17), 105.4 (13th in 17/18)

So he's not worth the max or anywhere near it. He's not capable of playing 30mins + at this age,he's got a really short shelf life.

And for anybody who's reciting capela's stats as his defense, remember this is RELATIVE value. This is what happens in a D'Antoni system, with one(hopefully two) premiere playmakers and excellent spacing. Your stats become inflated. Put some other center at their current talent level and throw them in system at Center. Watch how they'll appear way better.

That's my whole point. Never said he was useless or anything but I'm a troll now for saying that he will either be gone or overpaid.
He's not really doing anything special on offense, most of the time im even frustrated with his Hands and him fumbling passes very often.
But whatever, I'm a troll so who cares

I know very well about Cousins attitude issues, it's a totally valid concern with him, he is a seriously throwed guy.

Thing is, he is still UBER talented, he truly is a top tier superstar player, easily a perrenial top 15 player for the next 5 years baring any injuries. He is to me, the best center in the league.

He would also be a absolutely killer fit with Harden and Paul, imagining them feed him the ball on PnR's and PnP's would be so deadly, he can also space the floor, he's an elite rebounder, he's a good passer. His biggest issue, like Harden, is turnovers, and we just happen to have one of the best pure PG's in NBA history with Paul who averages a 4 to 1 assist to T/O ratio.

I take Cousins every day of the week, I'd trade anything outside of Harden/Paul to get him, but the beautiful thing is he will be a unrestricted free agent this off season.

think about him and Hard to take turn turning the ball over, no one else on the team can see the ball after half court ;)

just kidding, he is super talented, now how do we get him?
