If 9/11 was allowed to happen...I think I seriously would move out of the country. And I would never come back.

    buh bye.

There were countless reports of the Clinton administration passing on intelligence surrounding terrorist activity. The Bush administration refused to look at it.

    9/11 WAS allowed to happen.

You might think that, but once you started making preparations to leave, the government would fly their black helocoptors overhead and activate their secret mind control devices that work in conjunction with the flouride in your body to prevent you from doing so.

Jimmy Carter was not a president I liked, but he has been the only president since Ike who has been caught up in scandal*

    * Gerald Ford does not count.

Ah yes, you are supremely qualified to make such an assessment, especially in light of the fact that you are incapable of spelling the word "worst". That's expertise right there, folx.

Carter's Presidency is vastly under rated. He managed to actually help bring peace to the middle east. That alone is a major accomplishment. He warned of oil shortages, dependence on foreign oil, and the need to conserve energy long before it was popular to do so. In fact most of his unpopularity came from that.

Unlike Reagan, he stood strong against the Iranians and refused to deal them weapons. It is too bad the rescue mission he authorized failed. He was also fairly honest for a politician. He helped America's standing in Latin America by following through on our word with the Panama Canal, which was also unpopular.

He was someone who did the right thing, or what he thought was right regardless of polls. Sometimes he was wrong, but he was true to his convictions, and he wasn't a major flip flopper.

i've been very upset with bush in his 2nd term, but seriously to make those comments is ridiculous. i've met w. on four different occassions back when he was governor of texas. he definitely NOT uneducated and NOT ignorant. he's a funny, smart, and engaging purpose. he is a good man.

if you don't like his politics that's fine. there are some very important issues that i don't agree with him on with and think he is making big mistakes, but to attack him as a person especially if you have never met the man is uncalled for extremely uneducated of yourself.

My first reaction is, "No. Bush sucks, but he's not the worst pres in 50 years."

and then I think... "Okay... who was worse?"

    ...

and I can't come up with anybody.

I don't feel Carter was worse...

... or LBJ... or Nixon...or Ford... or Reagan...

Then why does he project that persona in public? The stammering, speaking in incomplete sentences, mangling the English language?

Is he doing it on purpose? Playing the common man, good ole’ boy? What?

If we're going based on worst presidents in the last 50 years, I say Bush would probably fall at around number 3 or 4 (in my rankings) with Nixon, Ford and/or Carter taking top 3 spots, not necessarily in that order.

If I were going to divide them among 3 categories, it would go something like this (once again the order within the categories isn't necessarily how I'd rank them):

    Good/Decent - Ike, Reagan, Clinton, Bush I

Mediocre/Bad - Bush II, Kennedy, LBJ

Really Bad - Nixon, Ford, Carter

This list of course is relative to the 50 years and doesn't necessarily mean that I think Ike was one of the best ever nor that Ford was one of the worst ever.

I feel sad that you would feel this way. Don't let your hatred and/or dislike for someone cloud your better judgement. If it were true that it was ALLOWED to happen, the truth would eventually come out. You can't hide it forever. Nobody would want that to be their legacy no matter how dumb you think he is.

Accidents happen. Tragedies happen. They happened before Bush and they'll happen after Bush. The man is seriously not as evil as some of you think.
