I trust Morey to make the right move, and honestly if we lose Brooks to get Bosh I'd still be ecstatic because hes the perfect pf for our system and to play alongside Yao and Martin

I am not sure I would do that, look how well Brooks and Martin play off each other...they are both so quick and so efficient with range, I would hate to give that up.

I am not sure Bosh adds that much over Scola if you consider you are also looking Brooks.

I mean that would be giving up too much, IMO.

I would rather roll with Yao, Brooks and Martin.....and keep Scola.....

If CB4 isnt the best PF in the league already, he is well on his way.

No he isnt, people started watching him more because Morey hinted at making a run for him and everyone is starting to realize how good he really is.

We arent trying to build a franchise around him. We are trying to add him to a core of Brooks/Martin/Yao. If you only added true franchise players to your roster, you would never field a team due to a lack of players.

The guy has been stuck on a bad team with a bad coach in the shadow of some of the best players of the decade. Chris Bosh is LEGIT.

Scoring pgs are easy to replace, and the loss in pg production from losing Brooks will be more than made up for with an elite pf like Bosh.

I like Scola but Bosh blows him out of the water, it's not even close.

If Toronto had to choose between Scola + Lowry or Brooks, I think they'd easily pick Brooks.

I would rather have the 22/9 on 54% shooting from Amare who has consistently put up better numbers on a significantly better team. Bosh can put up all the numbers he wants, but until those numbers turn into wins, a deal for Brooks is not so simple imo.

Guys like Iverson, though not many, have lasted more than some of their bigger counter parts playing the style that they played when they entered the league. Opposite to your argument, and counter to Yao, you could say that his light weight means that his body will hold up very well. You simply don't know what will happen. For your argument, 20 others would just as soon say that Bosh already has a lot of mileage on him since he's been playing for a long time. It's not worth considering something like that at this young age of his.

Scoring PG's are easy to replace?

    What?

    Since when?

You have not been a Rocket's fan long my friend if you are saying that.

    ROFLMAO !

I don't understand this lovefest with Bosh. He's a good player, but superstar? far from it. I live in Houston like almost everyone else on this forum, I don't get to see him play much, so don't act like you do.

Like a previous poster said, he's had 1 winning season his whole career, not impressed.

Another guy for the ignore list, huh DD?

NOBODY who can score like Brooks is "easy to replace". Doesn't matter what position they play.

Great players can get a .500 record despite their coach, and he has had plenty of talent, especially this year.

And no, people are talking about a Martin/Yao/Bosh combo, leaving brooks out.

Like DD said, you would have to decide whether Bosh or Brooks/Scola would be more valuable to the team. I think that is a much tougher decision than many of you are making it out to be.

Damn good post, Old Rock. If you are having doubts, then how Brooks + fillers for Bosh, no lottery/draft picks included? That would make me feel better about this trade.

traditionally PG and C are the hardest positions to fill.

why not keep brooks and try and get someone like noah or troy murphy..with either of those two, this team would be stacked...

I was just thinking how if Brooks played himself into Toronto willing to trade Bosh... this would end up being the perfect "developmental" season. Develop your young players, and trade them when their value is at its peak.

    *Fixed*

Is Yao a great player? Because when McGrady went down in the past, the teams record was well below .500. Is Danny Granger a great player? How about Chris Paul? Brooke Lopez? How about Dwayne Wade? Gerald Wallace? Guess what all those players have in common?

Dwayne wade and Chris paul are the only great player you listed, and Yao possibly at one point in his career. Those guys have made the playoffs on a consistent basis and had winning record buddy. YOu really think lopez, wallace, and granger are GREAT?

    Talk about ignorant
