Is Bradford really worth 48 million more than McCoy?

When they drafted him they said he would sit the first year. Why would they cut him if that was their plan

I'm a Texas fan and I don't think he will be a good NFL qb but he's secure for two years at least

I have no skin in the game whatsoever. I couldn't care less about the Browns or Longhorns.

I just like making fun of you. ;)

I hate Colt McCoy because my girlfriend is from the same small town as he is (Tuscola, TX) and he and his family have done some really rotten things there. Nothing to do with the topic but just saying.

I'm torn, I actually like McCoy, but it would be funny to wave another DaDakota quote around; on the other hand, the DD treasure trove of bad predictions is so deep, does it need another?

I honestly don't think he'll be cut though, it's Holmgren's show in Cleveland (not Mangini's) and Holmgren hand-picked McCoy.

i can not imagine cutting your third round pick before he ever plays a real down of NFL football. especially if that pick was a QB. what an embarassment to your GM and scouting department if you're drafting skill players in the 3rd round and cutting them before their first season even begins.

It'd be pretty impressive if I was dating someone Colt McCoy banged. Have you seen his girl recently? That's not to say my girl isn't hot, she's very pretty :p

Well, a lot of it involves his dad being a complete douche of a coach with the football program and the crazy nepotism he brought. They treated everyone else like shiit and got away with it because of much of a superstar Colt was. Colt's dad also hired someone to shoot a stray dog who was running around football practices.

I would generally think if the 2 sons from a small town end up recruited by the University of Texas, the "kid is only playing QB because he's the coach's son" argument wouldn't fly.

(Insert something about girlfriend being from the Hatfield family here.)

Well Thank God he completed some passes against 3rd stringers. Its good that he will take the time to learn behind such great NFL QBs as Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace.

Jimmy Clausen sucks too. I told y'all this QB class was overhyped.

I forget who did Schaub learn from?

Oh, yeah the great QB, Michael Vick.

    ;)

I believe Schaub learned from playing in college, where he wasn't constantly in a gimmicky offense playing against Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Baylor, and UNT defenses every week.

Colt McCoy getting flattened by Suh, Colt McCoy getting flattened by Alabama... get used to that. The NFL is gonna eat this boy alive.

And Matt Leinart has completed 80% of his passes. Who cares?

    Bump.

Back to back double-digit wins vs. Brees and Brady.

Seems like the city of Cleveland is indeed falling in love with boy from Texas.

Colt is doing well, but Bradford is still WAY better.

    Bradford is earning every dollar.

Oh, geez, I would never say Colt is better than Bradford. Obviously, Sam can run circles around Colt right now.

But it is just nice to see that Colt has come a long way from the days where most people in this thread thought he should be cut.

He played a solid game today.

But we also had a defense, special teams, and Hillis who came up big today too.

Don't tell me I'm going to have to deal with COFs down the road.

Your damn straight you will. I'm a longhorn fan who wants to see the Browns win simply because of Colt, I wanted to wish the same for Vince, but he went to a team i'm physically incapable of rooting for.

People love to talk about how obnoxious some longhorn fans are, and there are some bad ones, but how is fans supporting one of their guys so revolting. You longhorn haters who root against colt just because he went to UT are even worse.
