Yeah, Bowen's dirty. My God. If I was Finley I would have been swinging for teeth, fines be damned.

Wasn't it Bowen who just injured Vince Carter AGAIN? This guy needs to get killed.

I don't think the Spurs are a classy organization, just had one of the classiest guys (DRob) as their centerpiece for a really long time.

It looks like Finley is the coward and Bowen was just getting even. Talk about a sore loser. Losing to a team without the best player in the league by almost 30

Look at the body movement of that "kick" by Bowen. Bowen's in the air trying to contest the three point shot Wally about to take. Wally, while Bowen's in the air, instead of taking the shot pump fakes and steps right starting to put the ball on the ground to go past Bowen who he thought would be flyng by him. Bowen's leg is beginning extension before Wally even pump fakes. Wally ends up stepping into Bowen's foot in the process. If Wally had taken the jump shot as Bowen expected when he took off extending his leg Bowen would have just flown by Wally attempting to distract the shot and no contact would have occured. It was when Wally stepped right, moved forward that he basically walked into the path of Bowen's leg. I know it's more fun to think Bowen deliberatley kicked Wally but that's not what the pictures showing unless Bowen knew before he took off that Wally was going to fake and try to put the ball on the ground and move into him.

It actually looks to me that Bowen extends AFTER the pump fake....could just be me though.

Extends from the knee but the lower legs just going to follow the direction of the thigh. Look at the direction of movement of the thigh from when Bowen initiates the jump.

The fact of the matter is Bowen made no effort to pull the foot back, instead he extends it more. His jump took away the three and the foot took away the drive, he may not have intended to kick him but he sure didn't do anything to prevent it once the situation presented itself.

Reminds me of guys who intentionally lead with their knees in the air for a layup, a knee to the solar-plexes or the groin will make you think twice before contesting a shot or if you're like me; it will make you not think twice before trying to rip the guys head off the next time he comes down the lane, no blood no foul, right?

Why don't we just get Malone to take it to the rim on Bowen and finish it all at once? :)

I cringe every time a Rockets fan brings up the subject of tanking. Remember how we got our twin towers back in the 80s? A classy organization ain't we.

Yup, Wally's face fouled Bowen's foot, just like so many players' body fouled Karl Malone's elbow through the years. ;)

If Bowen isn't dirty, who is?

Some of the players that have reputations as dirty that i can think of are...
    john stockton (okay, he's retired)
    karl malone
    raja bell
    bruce bowen

i'm missing some but those are the names that have popped up on numerous occasions.

Let's see, 1983 or 1997 (year approximate, sorry). It was a different organization then. But -- even if it were the same Rocket organization, would that make SA's actions any more defensible?

Sports is great and fun because there is a scoreboard. I am fossil enough to still believe in integrity. Sports is the integrity of the scoreboard and SA showed zero character.

You'd think if Bowen was this vicious player you could come up with more than one questionable video and Carter landing on his foot in the 8 years Bowen's been In the league.

Rockets tanked to secure the worst record to SECURE the first pick (which then created the lottery; to make it impossible for ANY team to guarantee the jackpot)...Spurs did not have the worst record that season; so if they were tanking, they did a pretty crappy job of it; and it wasn't just DROB; Sean Elliot, and other notables spent much of the year injured - 'Nique, followed by Monty Williams were the leading "scorers"; just bad luck all around. Going into the lottery Celtics had a factor of 6 (or something near that) better chance of landing the big ball) ironic now since Boston hasn't beaten the Spurs since.

All you have to look at is this year to see that he is dirty. He has clotheslined Ray Allen, he kicked Wally in the mouth, he slipped his foot underneath Vince Carter to injure him, and he intentionally blindsided Finley with a knee to the groin while Finley was just running up the court. What does he have to do before you see him as dirty?

Clothes lined? That's a new one. The Wally clip is almost three years old. Slipped his foot under Carter? Kind of an assumption. Finley took the first shot, Bowen the second, Finley the third. Next you'll be posting he pushed an old lady in front of a bus.

No, up until now there wasn't any problems. No one had a problem with Bowen. But THIS SEASON he is resorting to out of bounds type of play. And I dont think it is 'sour grapes' from these players either. I have seen evidence to support their cases.
