    :confused: Your saying Bosh ceiling is at it's peak but Brooks is so much better that if you give Brooks time its

    Aaron Brooks > Chris Bosh ????

    fredv I love your passion man but I'm pretty sure 99.999999 % of fans,Local and across the country, Coaches, Analyst would just laugh at that idea....

    AB is fantastic at two things... TWO THINGS!!! Speed (You can't teach) and shooting... But he's not an elite ball distributor at most slightly above average for a PG.. He's fun to watch because he's a blur on the screen and makes half the PG look silly but that doesn't mean he makes the team better. We don't have any scoring threat right now and that is why the organization lets him shoot....

    How about as a team? Which one would you choose?

    PG: AB
    SG: Iggy
    SF: Battier (Assuming T-mac was traded for Iggy and Dalembert)
    PF: Scola
    C: Yao
    Bench:Landry,Ariza,Dalembert,Chase,Lowry,Anderson,Chuck

    vs

    PG: Lowry
    SG: Iggy
    SF: Battier
    PF: Bosh
    C: Yao
    Bench: Scola or Landry (Whichever one is not traded), Dalembert,Chase,Will C., Anderson, Chuck,Von W. (probably come back since we will have space on roster after trades) + DM ability to pick no names that can turn into quality athletes..

    These are all what ifs scenario but lets say the Toronto + Philly trade happened.

    Defense = Kyle
    Rebounds = Kyle
    Assists = Kyle Averages the same as AB but plays 9 minutes less
    Steals = Kyle
    Less turnovers = Kyle

    I'll give you points and 3's to AB though :)

    my thoughts exactly
    wtf does that leave us with shooting wise
    ariza?lmao
    no offense to lowry but he's no shooter
    budinger has his on and off night from behind the arc
    brooks is our ONLY consistent shooter no way i give up brooks

    Landry is becoming a star why trade him thats just stupid

    and yea bosh is soft super soft :)

    I voted no. I might change my answer if he agreed, prior to a trade, to re-up with us.

    When Yao Ming comes back and gets into full stride Carl Landry is going to become a star! Playing opposite Yao Ming he and Yao will both demand double coverage and the trapped one with the ball passes to the open one for a score. :p

    In both of your scenarios, either Brooks or Landry are still on the team. I said I only not trade Brooks AND Landry.
    However, if your talking about sending either one, then I agree.
    I was against the idea of sending the 2 best players this team has right now for an expiring contract.

    How about this..

    Replace Bosh with 2006 prime Yao Ming, would you trade current AB and Landry for 2006 Yao Ming?

    And FYI Bosh's per 57 minute stats > Scolandry's stats in 57 minutes.

    you'd give approx 60 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists in three players for one guy who gives 20 and 10? What happens to back-up point? Can lowry score to be in starting line up?

    I don't think his point was Brooks> Bosh. The point is that Bosh is may not be the player to get us over the hump. Since the rule changes it is too easy to cover a post player at the end of games to deny him a shot. Watch San Antonio in a close game, the ball doesn't go through Duncan it goes through Parker. Ergo a clutch shooter is more valuable to us than another post scorer. We already have Scola, Landry and Yao to score in the post. The quest is: Why would we invest so much in adding another marginally better post scorer who may not be able to score in the clutch?

    If you think AB can be that guy? Then the debate stops there.. But mine is actually complicated. I wasn't expecting Bosh to be the main focus with time winding down.. He was to be a part of it with a Yao,Iggy Scenario..

    Bosh can spread the floor because he's a mid-range shooter.. Yao is to slow to get enough space from a double team.. With the 2nd Big man defender having to always guard bosh that far out leaves Yao in a better position to do his turnaround fade away shot..( :mad: I hate thinking that Yao needs to do a fade away even though he's 7'6" )

    Lowry or Will C. can really spread and really wouldn't it be Iggy who would most likely have the ball in his hands? Iggy is solid more so than AB..

    Were talking about closing the games so who can do it? Who would you feel more comfortable with in that scenario?

    AB,Yao,Scola (or Landry)

    Yao, Iggy, Bosh

    I forgot to add %.. But really does anybody know what the FG% average is for say the last Minute or 2 for a player is? Website with info? I know DM probably has those type of statistical #'s..

    But then let's say you look at the current available #'s for average joes like you and me... The % is so much better with a Yao,Iggy Bosh combo..

    I think you're dealing with some pretty big if's there but I see what you're saying. I'm thinking more short term in what he can do for us if we make the playoffs this season. I actually do think that Yao could work next to Bosh.

    Over the short term, and what has been illustrated in the last two losses, is that this teams needs someone who they can trust with the ball late in games. When the game slows down can he give us a better shot than Landry or Brooks?

    Meant to put no. I WOULD NOT trade our core of Landry and Brooks.

    Trading away the core of our current team (and the only consistent double digit scorers save Scola) for Bosh is about as smart as walking into a club with a sawed off shotgun stuffed into your sweat pants and doing a little dance as you walk up the stairs.

    Or leaving your name on a mistress voice mail.

    Or trusting your friends when they say, "Ain't no big deal with running a dog fighting ranch".

    How about Battier/Ariza, Scola/Landry, Budinger/Taylor, and Cook's expiring for Bosh. Pretty sure Toronto would probably want Ariza, Landry, Budinger, and Cook due to age though.

    Bosh signed to a long term deal is worth Landry (or Scola) + Brooks + any non-rotation fillers.

    Brooks is getting to be so overrated on this forum. I hope other GMs think so highly of him so we can move him now while his value is high and before people realize he can't run an offense or that if he is your first or second option on offense you're going to be bounced in the first round every season.
