Didn't expect Asik's offensive game to really be any good lol. But he's been doing pretty good right now, let's see how he does against D-Howard

Maybe more credit should go to Carroll Dawson. He worked with CD during the offseason.

His offensive game still isn't really that great. It's the fact that he's shooting over 70% from the FT line that really impresses me.

His rebounding and defense is already bordering on elite if not at that level already.

Hopefully, he continues to develop offensively throughout this year and Morey eventually pairs him with an elite 4 (LMA pretty please).

Let's say Morey does get an Elite 4 for a Max contract. What happens in two years time, where Asik, who if he continues to play like he is on defense and progresses his game on offense (which I can't imagine him not doing over the next two years), his contract has to be renegotiated? There will undoubtedly be teams willing to offer him more than he is on now and the Rockets will have to match if they want to keep him.

And Lin's too, if he progresses and finds his grove in the offense.

I guess the question is, can the rockets build a championship contending team without wading into the precarious waters of the luxury tax?
