Is anyone else a bit ....nervous about this first round?

Rockets expectations are to beat the Warriors or the season is a failure. If this series goes past 5, I'd be more disappointed if anything.

 

One thing we proved this year is we can stomp good teams, we can lose to bad teams, we can come back from large deficits, and we can lose big leads. I’m definitely nervous. There’s no telling which Rockets team will show up on any given night. Which Tucker, Rivers, and EG are we going to see?

That’s what it will come down to. Our inconsistent role players.

 

Jazz want to show they improved their depth and Offense.

 

Not worried at all. It’s astounding how limited a lot of teams are offensively and defensively. Truly astounding.

Watching the rest of the league, and then comparing it to the rockets makes me confident.

 

I’m nervous any round of the playoffs, regardless of who we are playing. Nothing to do with a lack of confidence in the team, just always nervous come playoff time.

 

With multiple day one upsets all the favourites need to be ready day 2.

Rockets can't sleep on the Jazz. They have 2 players who would be all stars in the East (Gobert / Mitchell)

With Gobert possibly being DPOY he has other really good defenders around him in Ingles Crowder especially.

It's going to be physical.

These guys are a tune up for us. It doesnt matter how long the series goes on we always do it the hard way anyway

Yes very true. That said this I'm feeling much more uneasy about this team at the start of the playoffs than I did last year. I had little doubt that the Rockets would get through the first round easily but this year I don't. There is a huge difference being seeded one and being seeded four.

 

Only one team that was expected to win, won so far.

 

I want to wrap these 4 games up and get ready for the warriors.

 

As you should be. Rockets fans should have some PTSD about the playoffs, going back to the late 90s, especially as it relates to the Jazz.
