Yup, Jack Black, aside from saving silverman had dont nothing for me as far as comedy. Dude is just weird. Another one would be Patton Oswalt. How the hell is the guy in those circles of great current comedians and continuously getting jobs?
I liked Saving Silverman, but that was largely in spite of Jack Black. Oswalt I just haven't seen as much. I liked him in his recurring role in Justified. Watched one of his specials on Netflix which didn't impress me.
Ed Helms has always pissed me off. I loved Jack Black in Tropic Thunder. And Tenacious D is just straight genius.
I have never ever liked Kevin Hart. Not even a matter of getting sick of him over time or overexposure... just never thought he was funny. Same with Ralphie May (R.I.P. though). Can't get behind any Jack Black hate though. I can see why he wouldn't be some folks' style, but I think he's hilarious. I'll qualify that though by saying that I like him much better in a supporting role than trying to carry a film on his own. He was mind-bogglingly excellent in High Fidelity; just killed it in every scene.
I would say worth watching. Better than I expected. A fun movie as long as not expecting anything groundbreaking and can tolerate Hart.
He's never been funny, has a ton of movies that have flopped, is just loud, short, and black, and he also gave that pathetic excuse for cheating on his pregnant wife so I can't respect him either
I am not a huge fan of his humor, but he is the biggest comedian out there right now. He is selling out arenas.
The fatter Jack Black is, the funnier he gets. If Kevin Hart lost a few more inches and got whinier, his stardom would rocket to Chris Tucker status.
