Did Midtown lose power? I'm in Lower Manhattan and everything is closed so my roommate and I were debating whether to head up to Midtown to see if anything was open.

From 39th St down on the East side and about the same on the West Side lost power.

I'm in Manhattan but didn't lose power. Trees down all over but no flooding where I am. Lower Manhattan, Rockaway, Jersey shore not so lucky.

Stay safe everyone. I fear those without power will be powerless for a while. :(

I live in New York City. The weather here has been strange. It was just heavy rain and moderate wind for me, but my buddy a couple blocks down had power lines and trees down along with flooding.

I didn't lose power though, and I've spent the horrible weather and days off from school on clutchfans, lol. :p

More Midwest in Michigan, but we felt the effects of the storm with a couple of windy and rainy days. Shows how powerfull this storm is when it as effect on climate 600 miles west of the coast.

Aren't both basso and mc mcark NYers?

We have a nephew at NYU. He expects power to be out for days.

We have fans here from all over the world.

If you had ever downloaded the full games from previous years, the peer list for those torrent swarms showed people downloading the files from just about every country with decent internet access.

You new fans shouldn't get the idea that nobody knows about the Rockets outside Texas....you couldn't be more wrong.

OP, normally threads like this go in the Hangout...if it isn't about a game or a roster move for the Rockets , then it doesn't go in the GARM.

I was in Baltimore. No serious damage at all in my neighborhood, if any. No power or electric gone, but wicked rain came thought yesterday. I hope all my upnorth brethren are safe and ok.

Midtown is faring very well. We didn't lose power at all. I'm on the East side and close to the Eastern River. I stayed up all night to watch the news and the river bank. But the river didn't break. I heard it broke in the Lower East Side and north but not at Midtown. I also have power, internet, cell. Everything is working.

I didn't venture out but I'm sure stores and restaurants will be opened tomorrow since public transport will be back online tomorrow. They need their employees back to open the stores and restaurants. So yeah, come to Midtown.

My thoughts go out to people in Lower Manhattan and New Jersey.
