Is any one going to record Sundays Preseason game?

    Do you mean locally they're showing it (in Houston) ?

    Because I don't think they're showing this game nationally, not even on NBA TV.

    MY PROJECT:

    I intend to capture and burn every game this season (and presesaon) to DVD.

    I hope to capture two audio feeds (TV and Gene Peterson) and put them both on the disc. But, because of the frequency of the games, this will be difficult for me to do.

    Also, I wish that dual-layer DVD's were more affordable - I'm probably gonna have to reduce image quality to fit the entire game onto a single-layer DVD.

    Now, if the Rockets would hire me, I could do all this officially, and at the end of each game you would see "To order the game you just watched on DVD, just call 1-800...."

    I might miss a few games, but I think I can do it.

    Hmm... I don't know how I feel about this

    First, I gotta actually cap and burn 'em. Right now, I'm all talk - I gotta make it happen. After capturing, it takes me about 1 or two hours to set up the DVD (menus, chapters and stuff), and then I can do the process and burn overnight. In the morning, I have a DVD. From there, copying the DVD takes less than an hour.

    On one hand, I can understand how people might want the entire season on DVD: I'm doing it because I want it that way, and not everyone has the equipment and know-how to do it.

    But on the other hand, I don't really want to rip off the Rockets, and I'm concerned about getting in trouble.

    Not sure. Lemme think about it a bit. I've got plenty of time.

    Have you looked into kvcd/kdvd? Supposedly with this format, you can squeeze more video onto a single dvd without much loss of quality.
