Creates A tremendous amount of chaos everywhere. How he generally locked up the Wolves and Sixers at the end of his night on back-to-back evenings was amazing.

Trying to think of better defenders?

He's not even the best defender in the SW division picked in the 2023 NBA draft.

Wemby exists unfortunately. However Amen is a beast both on ball and help defense. He does everything

He’s def next level but I’d take it easy as far as best defender in the league is concerned…

I thought about Lively too but decided not to be too controversial in my take given that I'm on a Rockets board.

Ryan Hollins wants you to know Amen should be All NBA Defensive First Team

His length, speed, quick jumping ability, are really bothering players. He isn't the best yet, but I think if the Rockets keep going like this, you can probably bet he will make one of the defensive teams.

It's hard to compare wings/guards and bigs. Wemby is ridiculous and then the versatile bigs like Mobley and JJJ are sort of apples/oranges.

I think I'd rather have Amen guarding an opposing teams best wing/guard than guys like Daniels and Suggs based on what I've seen but it's not like I'm watching those guys with the same level of depth I do Amen either.

He is capable of guarding positions 1 through 5. So, if the opposing team’s best player is a center, assign Amen to defend him.

I actually agree with this. I’d say he’s second best after Wemby and best on perimeter. I could be biased of course as a Rockets fan lol, but I can’t think of a perimeter defender I’d trust more against a scorer down the stretch.
